Holy THUNDER last night! I love thunder I really do…just not when I want to sleep. I was up half the night and Layla ended up in bed with me around 4. And she was up off and on as well. Even sleeping in her headphones. And Rik who is mostly deaf must have felt the rumbles because he was all kinds of spastic. Rik has PTSD from Iraq and we were scared the thunder storms here would upset him. Thankfully up until last night he has been too deaf to care.
So today is a wish I could sleep in, add another scoop of half calf to the pot kind of day. It doesn’t matter how much Layla sleeps at night when the sun is up SHE is up. That brings me to this:
730 – Pulled out of bed to witness a Pokemon battle :
I manage to escape that by ‘needing’ to check the weather to see how long I have to get the dogs outside before it rains again. And to start coffee.
815 – My coffee is done. The dogs have gone out and are wondering why the food didn’t hit their bowls 15 minutes ago. It takes 5 more minutes for me to get up to feed everyone.
920 – Layla and I finish our breakfast and hop over the baby gate so she can play and I can do the Biggest Loser Cardio Max.
1050 – We’ve come back over to the living room with the boys and Layla works more on her coloring book while I sit on my butt browsing facebook and weather.com. Then Rik decided he needed to love Layla. And squish her. I had to pull the table out so she could stand up.
1100 – By 11 I am starving. Layla is not. I guess Pokemon battles and coloring doesn’t burn the breakfast buzz like a workout DVD. I go in the kitchen to clean up our breakfast mess of pop tart crumbs on paper towels when I notice how dusty the mugs we don’t use have become. And see how much Rik food crumbs spill out behind the blender. Yuck.
1145 – I take my time cleaning counters, loading the dishwasher, and rinsing off dusty mugs before making us some lunch. I made Layla’s and cut a few hunks of cheese for myself. Layla and I are cheese-aholics. The cheese tides me over (along with L’s crust…) so I just make a big ol’ chocolate/banana/coffee Slim Fast shake. Healthy I know.
1230 – Layla put on the animated Chipmunk movie and curls up on the couch in a blanket while I come to load the mornings pictures.
100 – I make myself get up off of the couch to keep from falling asleep. I decided to re-sort and actually put away the clothes that I folded a few days ago.
From there I gathered more dirty laundry and headed out to the garage to get it washing.
That is when I remembered why I do NOT like rain.
145 – I was talking to Melissa on messenger. She told me the OTHER Melissa was back from the Dr with lil Alek and she was taking Lacie back to her and asked me if I wanted to go along. Layla and I pile into her van and head for post. We were just driving and talking like normal when Melissa starts spazzing and saying “WHAT is that??” I’m pretty used to her pointing random things out to me but then she screams “WHERE IS YOUR CAMERA!?”
Well hello! I’m not a pro but I don’t THINK this is a wild pig.
330ish – Melissa and I ditch our 3 kids with Other Melissa to run to Walgreens to get some Pediasure for Alek. He’s pretty sick and needs all the nutrients he can get without eating real food.
430 – We come home and I make Layla and I soft tacos for dinner before we head back to her room for a tea party.
800 – Layla is in bed and I’m ready to pass out too. But there is a new Intervention on. At least it is quiet now ๐
Goodbye Day 2!
I am so glad you had your camera! Great pig shots…nobody would have believed us! Oink Oink
I can't believe those pigs! Thats so crazy!
I love this little project of yours and i'm so copying it soon.
I'm always amazed, too, that L is up and dressed with hair done by 8am. K stays in his pj's till we leave the house and sometimes thats not until after noon!
funny pigs, lol! it's times like that when you're so glad to have your camera! love the little tea party, too ๐
How funny, silly pigs! I love this idea too, I have been thinking about doing it for awhile but always forget. haha
Love the photo of Layla on the stool with her feet up. I am guessing that is a typical pose for her. Cute ๐
Hilo, Babo…those actually look like Yorkshire barrows (neutered males)….and pretty nice looking ones at that….nice shots, see them smile for the camera?
You need to rub some of your blogger awesomeness off on me. I'm lame. ๐ Those pigs are nuts. Definitely something you don't see on the side of the road everyday.
