730 – Trash day. After going to bed BEFORE 10pm last night I was wide awake and ready to go this morning. I got up and let the boys out, gathered the recycle stuff from the kitchen and dragged it along with the dumpster out to the curb. On the way back in I grabbed the clothes from the dryer that I never brought in yesterday.
800 – Layla is up and asking for breakfast. Waffles of course.
I had a comment yesterday about how she is always up and dressed with hair done by 8. She does NOT get that from her mother. Usually when she goes in to the bathroom in the morning she strips everything off and demands to get dressed. Then the hair depends on which princess she NEEDS to be that day. I got the clothes folded on the kitchen table as we searched for the Mermaid panties to match her shirt.
930 – On her way home from the YMCA, Melissa stopped here and snatched Layla so the girls could have a play date together before the actual playgroup. Being home alone makes me very unmotivated. I decide to play with a new blogger widget and watch an episode of Rob and Big that I’ve seen a few times already.
1230 – Melissa comes with the kids to pick me up so we can all head on post for a playgroup
1-330 – Playgroup at the Other Melissa’s house was lots of fun.
LOTS of laughing. Trish is probably one of the funniest people I know. She can make me cry.
400 – Feeding dogs early tonight. Layla has her tee ball pictures and, weather permitting, one of her final games. I am thinking that it will be rained out though. More thunder storms today.
500 – We get to tee ball and realize that another team showed up for pictures too unexpected. It didn’t change things much though. It took longer to get all the kids done so we weren’t sitting there with nothing to do from 5 to 6.
600 – I was counting on a rained out game but the skies opened up and they played ball. The team they played though only had 3 kids.
We also had some friends come to watch the game! Actually we had planned to go to dinner and ended having to wait for the game to finish first.
These big brown eyes get her hand fed at dinner by certain suckers
645 – We drove over to Old Mexico with the Other Melissa and her kidlets and Trish with NONE of her kids. It was a good night for her.
740 – Home again and getting ready for bed. Layla read her Diego book to me again tonight and did a great job. I’m finishing up Tori & Dean, then Chelsea Lately and I am off to bed. All of the sleep I got last night was nice but I wont make it before 10 tonight.
Looks like a great day!
love your week! 😀
