Pumpkin Brownies

Happy Fall!

Y’all know those pumpkin muffins/cake I make all. the. time? The box of cake mix and a can of pumpkin? The ones that are even more amazing when you swirl in some Nutella??

Well check it out…Jill (the one that first told me about those darn muffins) left a link on my Facebook page for Pumpkin BROWNIES.

Holy cow why haven’t we tried this before?!

I pretty much ran out for brownie mix that day.

Same easy peasy steps. Dump can, dump box, mix.

Bake. Cool. Cut extremely uneven pieces.

Voila! That’s it.

Now, I’m not totally sold on the texture. I’m sure I could have baked them a little longer since they were kind of gooey…or maybe they were supposed to be? Not sure. I know I’ve heard others mention that the texture wasn’t great. Maybe because it’s not really ‘brownie’ texture? Not sure. But it was still chocolate and I still ate the heck out of them.

So there it is. Easy brownies. If you’re a 2 ingredient pumpkin freak then try them. They taste good and maybe you will love the texture. I bought 2 boxes of brownies just in case they were amazing and I had to make them again 😉

  1. Adding the pumpkin is sure to change the texture unless you also increase the dry ingredients since the pumpkin is moist. Sounds delicious, though, and since I know the commissary here has gluten free brownie mix I’m going to have to grab some next time I’m on post!!
