Project 52. Week 2. Morning.

Two weekly posts in 3 days? Now I’m caught up! The link up for Project 52 goes up on Thursdays so that is when I’ll try to get my weekly photo up. Click HERE to check out the other Week 2 photos.

This week’s theme is ‘Morning’. I took a lot of pictures and scrolled through them all to find one that made me happy. I really thought it would have been something coffee related but it’s not! Since we’ve started only going to the gym 3 days a week now vs trying to go 5, I really am loving my scheduled ‘off’ days. I do still have derby practice tonight but still…it’s nice to take kids to school and come home to relax a bit and get things done here. Either blog stuff, Etsy orders, studying, chores…whatever. No rush to get in the workout and everything else before I have to pick up Timmy from preschool. Today, I really like my quiet time. Adding things to my planner, prepping to make stickers, eating my fridge oats, all with the sound of the rain outside. And dogs snoring/licking/scratching inside.

So, yes. This is MY morning. Some quiet-ish time.

    1. They are so yummy! Oats, milk and yogurt, fruit, and anything else you want to add like chia seeds or peanut butter. Mix it in a jar or container and leave in the fridge over night. I usually make 3 or 4 in advance so I don’t have to worry about breakfast in the morning. Working on a post now on making them!

  1. Your desk looks so organized. Mine is so messy. I’ve been trying to stick to a grain-free diet for a while, but I’m thinking about eating grains again. I’ve been reading about soaking your grains before cooking them to help with the digestion of grains. I’m really looking forward to eating oatmeal again. I’m always seeing all these yummy looking refrigerator oatmeal recipes of Pinterst. I love your header picture by the way.

    1. Id be lying if I said I didn’t tidy it up a bit for the photo ๐Ÿ˜‰ Usually I can barely fit my coffee cup lol

And I really do love the fridge oats. They soak overnight in milk/yogurt if that counts ๐Ÿ˜‰ It’s just so easy to have them ready in the fridge to grab and go.

  2. I wake up at the amazing awful time of 430 am to work out. Sigh. It’s the only thing that works around here. But my real quiet time comes around 8 when everyone is gone and I have that first cup of coffee. I like the idea of fridge oats. I may have to try that.
