• It’s been 84 years…

So, obviously I failed HARD at the photo challenge that I haven’t updated past week 5 of the year.

I’ve really meant to come back here. I’ve wanted to update and share photos and keep things semi current…but once you get so far ‘behind’ it’s hard to pick back up. Like, do I recap the whole dang year?? Do I just start posting again like I was never gone? Do I write something or just throw a picture up and let it be what it is?

    I don’t think there’s a right answer and also, I overthink everything.

So, this year was busy. And not. All at the same time.

And here are a few pictures that actually made it onto my computer and not just Instagram.

Also, L and I went to the zoo at some point this year. Both armed with cameras.

You can see L’s pictures HERE. And my pictures HERE.

  • Fall Break…Are we done yet?

This week has been long. Too long. I love having the kids home but man Im ready for a break. A week of no school and only one derby day in there makes for a ready to be on her own again mamma. Little things like going to the store…or ANYWHERE. What did I do before kids were in school? I guess I never had them both home full time together except during the summer. Maybe because it’s Black Friday weekend and Im itching to Christmas shop but can’t go with them. Because it’s not like I have the rest of the month to do it. I think it was just my reason to get out and not be tethered to kids for a couple of hours. Soon…one more day.

Anywho, I feel like I’m rambling and can’t make a complete thought. I swear writing is the worst part of blogging. I feel like I just spew out all the things Im thinking at once and then post 50 random pictures to follow it up with.

Which is what I’m doing today.

Tomorrow I’m hoping to get a good family shot of us to get cards made/hang on the wall maybe?

But now, random pictures so I can go start dinner. I don’t think I can get away with corn dogs and sandwiches much longer.

    DC watching squirrels.

Handsome Thomo. This guy went out on his first hunting trip yesterday and got his first deer. Totally creeps me out.

This guy didn’t go hunting…but he did watch the first 5 minutes of the Hunger Games.

    And duh. Christmas tree bokeh!

I promise Layla exists. She has been hiding in her room playing with her My Little Ponies again. I never see her.

  • Trying Again – A Photo Dump

I mentioned before that my lens was acting screwy. I tried to fix it. Not sure if I succeeded or not but I feel better about these than I did the last ones. I’m pretty lucky to have such awesome models to practice on.   Oh, also, have you left me a comment? Are you getting my replies? Just realized that when I comment through the blog’s admin dashboard it’s not showing up through the Disqus comment system. Unless it is and I’m just missing it. Sometimes, I’m not so tech savvy.

Oh! And this. We checked the mail and I saw there was a big padded envelope. I had NO idea what I had ordered and forgot about. I feel like I do that often. Turns out, I didnt! It was the Eco Straws I won in a blog contest over at Life of a Traveling Navy Wife.
