Layla isnt much of a morning person. I was lucky to actually have her dressed right after she got up. Here she is in the wake up, Noggin, Poptart zone.
So far being here in Alabama, especially off base, I have seen the “southern hospitality” that Ive heard of. Our sweet neighbor, Alice, brought us over some home made ginger snaps and a tray of veggies from her garden. A bag of green beans, lots of beautiful red tomatoes, a cute little round eggplant, a few peaches, and these. I have NO idea what it is. When I cut it open it looks like it should be sweet but its not really. Looks like a fruit, tastes like a veggie. 10 points to whoever can identify this mystery food.
Yesterday we went Bunker shopping and while we were at Wally World we got a bird feeder and a 10lb bag of bird food. After hanging the feeder I dumped a bit on the stump out back to see what came. This little guy took it all.
And it drove Sadie CRAZY. I love these french doors we have leading to the backyard. Its fun to sit at the table and watch the squirrels. And holy DIRTY window!
It’s a fig. I think. I’m about 95% positive, which doesn’t mean much seeing as I was almost positive I was pregnant last month! Ha! But yeah, it’s a fig. Promise. :o)
10 points to Michelle! Actually to my dad first for telling me on IM…then to Jill for agreeing. How about everyone who reads this blog gets 10 points 🙂
As long as I get points it’s all good in the hood. :o)
I was going to say fig too.
Yeah, you named him Gerbil!
