Well, what started as a stomach bug that we got meds for went from not too bad to not too good over night. I knew he wasnt feeling good and wasnt eating too much but he was still drinking, we had the meds, he would be better in no time. Well at about 3am he starts puking. Then again after we get up. I called the vet and they told me to bring him in to do a parvo check. Eek! Parvo scares me. Ive heard plenty of parvo survival stories but it still is more than I want him to go through. My appt was scheduled for 2pm. All day Bunker just slept. No playing, no eating, no drinking. He did go out to pee twice but wanted to go right back inside. Anywho, after a couple more puke incidents we headed off to the vet. NO PARVO! But the coccidia is feeding off of the stress of the new home/car trip/everything. They are keeping him at the vet for a couple of days to get some fluids in him and make sure he keeps the meds down to make it all go away. Poor little guy. I dont want him to stay there and I sure dont want to pay the bill that I see coming but I know its what he needs and thats ok. Layla on the other hand was bawling her eyes out leaving the exam room when she realized Bunker wasnt coming. I kept telling her he was just staying a couple nights until he feels better but she just kept yelling “I miss Bunker!” Broke my heart! Shes ok now though. Sadie cant figure out where he went and why he didnt come in with us. Layla told her that he needs to stay and get medicine but he’ll be back soon. Bless her heart 🙂 Please send some happy puppy thoughts to our new little guy.
