After The Rain

We had a stormy couple of days this past week. It is nice to have the sun shining again even if it is freezing outside.

We did have some reminders of the heavy rain and wind though. These suckers bounced off the roof. Thankfully they bounced OFF and not smashed THROUGH the roof like last time.

This one next door was sticking straight out of the ground

I’m not the only one thankful to have the rain gone. These guys were hungry! And boy were there TONS of them all over the place. This is just a little taste of how crazy it was in my yard.

This one was hungry. And mean. It fought with all the others that tried to land on the feeder.

Each one of these pink hearts is a bird. There were tons more.

Last night was a full moon and sooo pretty. It looked huge

And today I’m cleaning. A lot. And baking. I made PW’s Rum Cake. You can find the recipe HERE. My glaze isn’t that thick though…hopefully it doesn’t come out soggy.
