I know I have done some sort of tour of Enterprise. I think maybe just downtown? I remember Pam commenting about downtown. I dunno. We drove around aimlessly the other day killing time before needing to go get Abigail from school. Sort of like Thomas’ Famous 90 Mile An Hour Tour around Hawaii this is the Enterprise, AL tour in 11 photos.
We will start with The Byrd Nest. This is the school that Layla may be attending with Elizabeth when we get back from vacation. It’s super cute.
Country Best Farm. I’ve never actually been there and out of the car but it’s cute and Melissa seemed to like it.
Enterprise, AL water tower, again.
The Enterprise Public Library. We go there every week for story time.
This made me giggle. Weevil 101. Hooray for the bug!
Speaking of the bug. Try doing a Google search for things to do in Enterprise, AL. Here is the #1 attraction.
Now if anyone reading this has ideas of what to do with kids other than the big park and Fun Factory PLEASE share the info!
Right around the corner is the Coffee County Courthouse
And some dogs hangin out in a truck at the post office. We tried yelling cookie and hungry at them but they didn’t budge. Good dogs! Mine wouldn’t have lasted in there along long enough to have someone yell cookie at them. Unless they were tied down.
And down the road from the post office is Magnolia Dental. That’s where Layla and I go. They are AWESOME! I’m sure scared of the dentist. One time in Tucson the non English speaking dentist told me I wasn’t feeling pain because she gave me a shot. Too bad I still WAS feeling it. Psh. These guys rock.
And here’s a shot of the “main strip” I guess you could call it. Where all the hullabaloo takes place. There’s Walmart, JC Penny, two theaters actually, lots of Chinese food and other restaurants, and random stores. Walmart being the most important.
Here is the Welcome Center, kinda. I have never seen it actually open but my neighbor brought me a bag full of all kinda of cards, brochures, pens, and other goodies from local businesses. It was pretty neat.
And that is Part 1…or Part 2 if I already posted one…of the Enterprise, AL tour. Maybe someday there will be a part 2 (3?)
Makes me miss home! I’m planning a surprise trip in May! I can’t wait!
