I have to put my Ipod on shuffle music and explain why I have the first 10 or so songs on there. Lets see how this turns out 😉
1. Quiet Drive – Time After Time: I’m a BIG Cyndi Lauper fan. When I heard this version of the song I fell in love with it. It’s rock-ish but the same great song.
2. Nickleback – Photograph: Today I cleaned out one of the ipods because T had loaded all of his Iraq music to both of them. I figured I’d leave all the songs on the big one and take the Nano for myself and my music. This was already on it and I chose to keep it there because it’s not so bad. No other big meaning though.
3. Billy Joel – Piano Man: I’m not sure when I first heard this song but I remember watching the music video a long time ago. I just love it.
4. Mariah Carey – Hero: When I was in 3rd or 4th grade we lived in an apartment complex in Tucson. The kids under us sort of moved in with us. Trish is 4 years older than me and was the big sister I always wanted. She also is an amazing singer and would sing this a lot. That’s what I think of every time I hear it 🙂
5. The Fray – Over My Head: This song was just ok for me until I started watching some reality show that had famous people’s kids trying to be singers. Crosby Loggins sang this. Totally my favorite.
6. Violent Femmes – Blister In The Sun: My brothers first wife had a Violent Femmes sticker on her car. That was a LONG time ago. Around the same time as song #4. Not sure when I heard the song…I think it was with my brother though. And I think he gave me the tape. Or I got the tape of it from somewhere…
7. Blink 182 – All The Small Things: This came out when I was in 8th grade. It was when I was getting away from Hanson and moving more toward another genre of music. Now I love anything and everything. Then I had the Blink 182 shirt and the 60″ bottom raver pants. Oy. This song reminds me of Callie and Matt McClintic.
8. Green Day – When I Come Around: I’m pretty sure it was my cousin Brian that introduced me to Green Day. I got this CD and was hooked. I still love them and for a reason a lot of people get bored with musicians. All of their songs sound VERY similar to me. I know if I like one I like them all and its true 🙂
9. Aerosmith – Amazing: Ah, Aerosmith. My mom and brother are fans so I grew up listening to them. When I first discovered MTV it was when Alicia Silverstone was in all of their videos. I loved the Crazy video the best. Then Thomas comes a long and he is from an Aerosmith loving family too.
10. Alan Jackson – Where I Come From: When I was little we had an Alan Jackson tape that I liked but once I was old enough to really choose my favorite music I wanted NOTHING to do with country. Then I move to Hawaii and every friend I met when I got there besides Michelle was from the south. Working at the animal clinic with Bre got me super hooked. She always kept the radio in there on the one Hawaii country station. Now I love it.

Glad you had fun with this!! You had some great songs! I was a HUGE Blink and Green Day fan in high school – now you’ve got me missing them. I might have to dig up some of those cds tonight!
Ooooo looks like fun, I’m gonna give this a try when baby boy is asleep in a few hrs!!
How fun! We should do this on HWM and Facebook too! I just checked my 10 and was a little surprised at what came up. Might have a hard time explaining some of them. 😉 LOL
