Tee Ball and Shave Ice

So Friday there was no rain and Layla actually got to have her first tball practice! First they all sat on the white line while they were called out to their teams. There was this girl sitting behind Layla that kept playing with her hair and patting her back. You could tell L wasn’t too sure of it but she wouldn’t do anything to stop it.

Once they got the teams together the practice started. She hit pretty well.

And I don’t know what I was expecting…maybe I have watched T’s softball team too much but it cracked me up when all the kids ran for the ball. Like the heard of dinosaurs in Jurassic Park that all ran together like birds.

And finally I had to get a shot of all the proud dads out on the field helping their kids 🙂

It was a fun time. Layla LOVES it. I cant wait for their hats and shirts to come in!

Now, on to yesterday. Layla and I drove to Dothan after taking T to work so we could get Revo some food from Petsmart. On the way out of town I decided to actually stop at the little Tropical Sno place that we always drive by. It says Hawaiian Shaved Ice so I wanted to try it out. I should have known by the D at the end of Shave that it wasn’t going to be really the same.

It was pretty darn good but it was nothing like
Matsumotos. Man I miss that place!

It was good though and a nice little treat for under $2. I’m sure we’ll stop by there again 🙂
