First off, I’m sorry I haven’t updated this blog in a LONG time. I have been keeping up with the
365 Blog but haven’t had enough pictures or enough to say about anything to update here.
Until now.
Last Wednesday I started contracting every 10 minutes which turned into every 2-3 minutes. Turns out I was 2cm dilated already and was taken over to L&D. They pumped me full of more antibiotics and Demerol. After staying the night there the contractions had slowed down enough to let me go back to a regular waiting room.
After that I wasn’t sure I was going to hold out another week. The random contractions I was getting have been a lot stronger and my body just felt different. I figured it could be any time. We managed to hold out another week though! Tomorrow we will be 34 weeks and they are inducing me at 3pm. I am hoping that even though I am a month early it wont take too long since my body has already tried to do this on it’s own!
My parents made it to Alabama last night and tonight they went down to Enterprise to stay the night at the house with T. They went down to check on the pups and collect all of the last minute things I want/need for the next few days.
Tonight I’m just hanging out here trying to relax and think of anything else I might need before they all come back up tomorrow. Of course while watching American Idol 🙂
I am still having a hard time wrapping my brain around the fact that after tomorrow we will have two kids. A family of four. A five year old (Layla’s birthday was on the 2nd) and a newborn. I should still have 40 or more days left. Thankfully I have some seriously awesome friend’s and an even greater hubby that have made sure we are ready for this baby to come since I am not there to do it myself. And trust me when I say we were NOT ready. At all. We had a crib, a car seat, and a pack of diapers. Maybe 6 outfits in different sizes. Anywho, THANK YOU to anyone that has taken my kid, given us baby stuff, stocked our freezer with frozen meals, or just sent lots of good thoughts and prayers our way. It has made my time away from home SO much easier knowing that we are all very well taken care of 🙂
Now all we need is lil T to come and be big and strong and able to come home with us soon. I’m sure once I am discharged, with or without him, I will feel a little less stuck. I know I am not going to want to spend too much time away from Birmingham and him but I will be able to go home if I need/want to. I am just SO ready to have us all there together. I’m ready to have Layla back in her own bed every night. I’M ready to be back in MY bed again. Oh boy am I ready!
So, that’s the plan. Tomorrow they induce…hopefully he will come SOON after that starts. Layla took about 8.5 hours from the start of the pitocin after my water broke at 39 weeks. Hopefully since he thinks he has been ready to come out for a month now the pitocin will just be the little shove he needs to get out!
I will update again after it’s all over and I have pictures and energy. Hopefully it wont be another 2 weeks!
Other than the pictures on the 365 blog I don’t have anything major to share. I did take one final belly picture and then made a little mosaic of all of the ones I have taken to this point.
Enjoy 🙂
