We got home Wednesday night. While I am very VERY excited to be back I am trying not to shout to the world about it and jinx us again. Too late now I guess if I’m blogging 🙂
Lil T and I are settling in for a nice quiet weekend while T takes Layla to a family reunion. His mom’s family has big family reunions (or maybe just big because I have never been to one??) and when we found out it was in driving distance there’s no way Thomo could pass it up. This weekend was supposed to be my due date but since the little man is already here I’m going to stay here with him and let them go see the family.
I don’t have much to say really other than so far, so good. Timmy is doing good now, I’m feeling much less stressed, Thomas is flying now in school and loving it, and Layla is a very proud big sister!
Speaking of Layla…She found the case to the pack and play and decided to try it on. Then asked me to zip it. Then I asked her to move to a different spot for a picture just so I could see her try to find her way 🙂
She’s my favorite 5 year old 🙂 We have SO much fun when its just us time but she is definitely pushing buttons and acting out a bit since we have been home. Not sure if it is jealous of brother or the fact that I haven’t really been here in 2 months and she is seeing how far she get go with me.
Now for lil Timmy Fred 🙂 He got his first at home bath today. I finally got over my fear of small babies (they seem much more breakable with no clothes) and my fear of getting peed on and just did it. He wasn’t so much a fan at first but was happy with the little bath luv duck thing on him. Its like a wash cloth shaped like a duck that you lay on baby to keep him warm. Anywho, he was even happier when we were done and he was dressed.
I love this sleeper. My aunt and uncle sent it for Christmas. It might be the only thing that REALLY fits him. Also, my mom says he has elf ears.
So maybe they’re a little pointy. I also love his wet hair. Almost looks curly…until it dries and turns to fluff. A lot like mine.
Before all I saw were ears…now it’s the nostrils. He’s T’s kid for sho.
Hellooooo catch lights. I like the spot that we stuck the pack and play. I’m just sad I don’t have photoshop on this computer and have to post straight out of the camera pictures.
He was 7lb 13oz when we left. Did I post that last time? Anyway, compared to the photo of him in the header his cheeks are nice and puffy now. 🙂
And why he naps in the pack and play 😉
I’m kidding. Kinda. Our great friends, April and Pete, let us borrow a gorgeous wooden cradle that was made for them by a family member and has been passed around to a ton of different babies. I’m excited to get to use it for our baby! That’s the real reason he’s not in the crib now. Having him in our room makes the many late night feedings a lot easier on me when half the time my eyes aren’t open during them 😐 Sooo while he’s not using it his crib has turned into storage for baby stuff that I have no motivation to put away because he isn’t sleeping there.
It’s a vicious cycle.
And that’s all I have for today. Already this blog has taken hours to write thanks to the hungry gassy little guy. Now that I’m home and we are settling I plan on picking up the camera a LOT more often. If I don’t then what’s the point of this blog anyway 😉
