I took a couple of pictures the other day and realized I had a ton more that were still on the camera. Today is going to be a combo post. A look at what we have been doing lately.
Today was Timmy’s 2 month well baby appt. He is 11lb 3oz and 22 3/4 inches long. That puts him in the 21% and 23%. His head is only in the 11% though…does that mean it’s really not as big as I think it is? Who knows. Either way I think he is huge. We spend our days rotating between swing, bouncy seat, play mat, and cradle. He has awesome head control/neck muscles while we hold him but he still hasn’t really held it up while laying on his tummy. Usually he just falls asleep! I had him down the other day for some practice and someone had to come check him out.
Then he got down and kissed him on the head about 2 seconds after this picture.
I’m glad he’s finally calming down and realized that TF isn’t someone to play with him yet.
Also at the Dr today she told me that he probably has colic. She asked if he is fussy a lot especially at the same time every day..prolly in the evening…I told her yes the devil usually takes over around dinner time every day. I dont think he’s too bad though. Maybe because I found what calms him. I was telling another March2010 BabyCenter mamma about what it takes to get him to chill when he is grumpy after she posted about having a bad day with her guy. And here it is…
Half a swaddle (hands must be out. Usually elbows are tucked in though) in his knit blanket from Layla + his wabbanub puppy binkie.
Usually he has to be sleeping on his side too after all of that.
Layla has been a pretty awesome big sister too. She helped bathe him the other night and she loves feeding him too.
She did yell “GET HIM OUTTA HERE!” when he started coughing though. She didn’t want to get puked on.
We have also been trying to enjoy the nice weather by getting outside more. Layla has been playing ball, frisbie, and planting seeds that she has been picking off of the weeds in the yard.
As for planting, I have tried to make our little garden a bit less ghetto. I started by making Melissa come move a rose bush for me 🙂 They were uneven and I needed the tall one on the other side of the tiny one. It was bugging me. We got it all moved and now it is so so sad. VERY wilty. Ive been watering a ton and it looks like it wants to come back but still wont stand up straight.
Poor little roses
I also put in a couple more little azaleas and some random purple flowers that will hopefully stay alive and fill in the empty spots a bit.
TF loves being outside too. Once he is fed and changed of course. And it cant be too windy. Or sunny. He’s a bit of a diva. Can boys be divas?
He is sweet though 🙂
That is pretty much us these days. Hanging out, playing outside, sitting inside…not a lot going on!
Also, just a question for anyone that reads this. Have you heard of Serratia? I’m pretty sure Timmy has it. It’s a bacteria and his Dr hasnt even heard of it. I guess it can be serious? He isn’t showing any signs of being sick from it. I just want SOME information and would like to get him treated if he does have it. Which I’m sure he does due to his breast milk puke turning hot neon pink after coming out of the dryer and his bottles turning pink after he eats. I’m getting so much mixed info on it. It is common and as long as he’s not sick it’s not a big deal…but then other things make it sound really serious and it can cause respiratory infections which is the LAST thing his little ex-RSV havin lungs need.
Awww Meggo he is getting so big and so beautiful! I hope you find out about that serrita! Love your flowers!
he really is getting big! love the pics with the pup. so sweet. makes me so excited to meet my little guy in a few weeks!
i have heard of serratia, but i don't really know what it is. i've just heard the word. i'm surprised your doc hasn't heard of it. i guess as long as he's not sick its ok? hope you get some answers!
