It was the best day ever. Lots of time with family and friends that might as well be family.
Before I get into the actual day, let me back track to Thursday when I went to L’s school for “Muffins With Mom”.
I loved this 🙂 And I’m not the only mom who loves cereal 😉
They recited a poem for all of the moms
And then gave us our heart…fans? I thought it was a fan. L said no.
Then it was off to the muffins. Mmm, hello carbs 🙂
At the tables were pots the kids had painted and then planted flowers in for the moms
As for Mother’s Day itself…it started with Thomas waking up with me at 7. That was awesome enough by itself…but then he made breakfast!
After breakfast we all just hung out together. Then I was able to take a shower without worrying about a crying baby or having to hurry before he wakes up. THAT was awesome. Once I was done getting ready to go to lunch with the neighbors I came out to the kitchen and found this on the table 🙂
I get a mani/pedi, facial, and hair shampoo/cut/style. I can NOT wait. I already have an appointment set. I was just telling him that I just wanted a LITTLE time to do something for me…like time enough to just pluck my man browns or paint my chipping toes. I can’t wait to not feel like a frumpy new..ish mom.
Anywho, next up was lunch with the neighbors and their entire family. I love them all and am so glad they adopted us when we moved in 🙂
After lunch Thomo and I loaded the kids and Revo into the car and headed to the big park since it was so nice outside. Half of Enterprise had that same idea. Layla ran crazy and played on the playground while TF slept in the stroller and T and I sat on a bench swing that Revo was too afraid to get on with us. He just tried to climb in T’s lap.
After a lap around the parks walking path we headed home and headed across the street to cook out.
We were only there for a few minutes before I realized I left the bottle I made sitting on our kitchen counter. I handed Timmy Fred off to the guys so I could run to get it. I wasn’t even out of the yard when I was called back and told to grab the camera.
While he was hangin out in his seat L was building dog kennels and couches out of dominoes
Of course the boy screamed while we were trying to eat but what can ya do. It couldn’t all go smoothly! It was still the best day and not just because I felt a wee bit spoiled.
That picture of your little guy in the chair so stinking cute:) I know I'm new here, but have you ever done a tutorial on how to take a photo like that- focus on something and blur the background? I have a setting on my camera that is supposed to do this, but it isn't as contrasted as what your photo looks like. Is it all in the camera, or is there a trick?
Thanks so much!
