Last year in May I decided to try out the 30 Day Shred work out video. I figured 20 minutes a day for 30 days shouldn’t be too hard to stick with. It turned out being just what I needed and I stuck with it adding in the Biggest Loser Cardio Max DVD as well until August when morning sickness took over. I thank Jillian Michaels for my not turning into a huge whale during my pregnancy like I did with Layla…and for not being a huge whale now. I didn’t REALLY start losing weight after L until she was almost 3.
Anyway, after I was done whining that all my pre-Timmy hard work was quickly flying out the window I started counting down the weeks until I could start ‘shredding’ again. I was SO motivated all through my pregnancy to start up again and then I finally hit my 6 week post partum point. And then 8…and 12. It’s a lot harder to get started into something that you haven’t done for so long especially when you throw a month of hospital bed rest on top of it that helped me lose the last bit of muscle I had worked for. I was lazy and tired and afraid to hurt.
A few weeks ago I started to really try to record everything I ate and did at www.fatsecret.com. I even joined some of their challenges that I have pretty much failed at. I was doing really well until 2 weekends ago. I feel like I have slacked and am at the point where I am busting my butt to get on track during the week so I can undo the progress over the weekend with too much good food and too little exercise.
My original goal was to be swimsuit ready by the 4th of July. At the rate I’m going now that is not going to happen. I had that drilled into me yesterday when I went swimsuit shopping with Melissa.
Oh. My. God. Lets just say I haven’t made the progress I thought I had!
Today is June 1. I started the day recording my breakfast and starting the 30 Day Shred AGAIN. I am going to stick with it this month if it kills me. I’m hoping that my long rant here about how awesome it is will keep me motivated but we all know I’m pretty bad at sticking with stuff so it may not help me at all! We’ll see.

how about I've owned the dvd for almost a year….and never even opened it 🙁 I really need to use it! I have 10 POUNDS yep that's it…..grrrr….maybe your post will get to me too 🙂
