Just Because

I don’t have anything important to show off or write about. I do have some random pictures from the past few days that I loaded to Flickr feel the need to blog now.

#1 – It starts. I found our first big ugly bug skin of the season. Hooray for summers in the south!

#2 – Saturday there was a thunderstorm. The first one here in a long time it feels like. We had thunder and clouds recently but no rain. This was a full on lightning, thunder, sideways rain, wind blowing down branches, can’t see the neighbors house kind of storm and it was wonderful.

#3 – Father’s Day. We gave T his generic dumb gifts and then I ended up making a Walmart run for some dinner fixin’s and an xbox controller so he can play his Flight Simulator game a lot easier. He was showing Layla how to do it and even let her take some turns.

#4 – While they were playing their game I sat on the couch with Tub trying to get him to take pictures with me. He was less than amused.

#5 – It was about to be bedtime (Thanks summer for keeping the sun up past bed time…at least Layla doesn’t question it anymore…) and I hadn’t really taken any pictures of us celebrating Father’s Day. So I made them all sit together and used my pop up flash to get a picture. TF is too white.

#6-9 – A couple days ago I noticed our water pressure was a little low and the water wasn’t getting QUITE as hot as I thought it should. Thomas went out to look at the water heater and then under the house this morning to check things out. The problem was under the porch. The pipe that brings water from the heater in the garage to the house. Awesome. We got a plumber out once we Thomas figured out what the issue was and they rerouted the pipe and fixed it without busting through the breeze way.

They busted up the patio but at least it’s out where the dogs go instead of our main porch. Even though that might have been a good excuse to repaint it…I don’t have that kind of motivation now.
