Layla started kindergarten today! She is a kindercat (the high school is the EHS Wildcats so they’re Kindercats) She had a great day even though she “forgot” most of what she did. After enough bugging her she was able to remember some things they did including her favorite part…nap time! She’s my kid for sure 🙂
She couldn’t get pictures over fast enough. She just wanted to be part of the action! I told her to stand by her locker so she stood in front of it.
She couldn’t wait to bust into her box so she could start her first project. Coloring a monkey.
She did manage a sweet smile and not a “moooooom! Go away!” smile 🙂
Then Mrs McAliley called her up to put her banana in the basket. This board is neat. Its like a giant computer touch screen. She touched the banana with her name on it and pulled it over to the basket to show that she was there.
And that was that. I was loved and sent on my way to spend all day alone with the boy.
He loves him some mum mum crackers. Just not when he takes a huge bite, gags, then pukes all over himself and everything around him. I don’t like that either.
Tonight we made the ‘mistake’ of giving Layla her “Happy Kindergarten” gift at bedtime. The first 4 Junie B Jones books in a boxed set. I read the first couple pages with her from the first book and told her she could read a few more then go to bed. I went back about 30 minutes later and she was still going. I had to make her put the book down.
Awe looks like she had a great day and evening!
I dislike those books. I didn't realize it until I bought a ton of them. Horrible grammer 🙁 Look for the Magic Treehouse series.
Wow, that white board screen is COOL! I've never seen anything like that. I wish Conner went to a school that could afford technology! 😛
She is soo cute. What a great set of photos!
