I was just looking back through my blog after getting an email from someone that might be an awesome 15 year old fan of my blog that thinks I take awesome pictures…or a creepy phishing stalker that just wants me to reply to their email so they can steal my identity and my children. Not really sure. Either way it got me thinking that I pretty much suck at blogging. I went from 20ish posts a month to 5ish. Starting about June of last year. When I got knocked up. This boy…the one that was supposed to be my muse that I take 9,000 pictures of because I didn’t get a nice camera until Layla was WAY older has sucked the life out of my blog. He’s pretty cute though so I might just let it slide. I’ll just try harder to post I guess. Maybe.
Anyway. I was talking about cake. Because Layla and I baked a pumpkin cake 56 years ago and I loaded the pictures to Flickr and then never posted them.
It’s the same recipe as the muffins I’ve made with and without the awesome apple cider-y glaze. This time I ditched the glaze and went to the cream cheese frosting. And it was good. Really good. So good that I ate pretty much all of it by myself. NOT good.
Anyway.
You start with cake mix (I used Spice Cake this time), a can o’ pumpkin, and a smile 🙂

And you’re DONE!
Almost. You need to bake it. Or not because as L says…there’s no ‘rotten eggs’ in it.
Tights. The best part about cooler weather <3
Also if you don’t bake it you will prolly have a hard time frosting it. That’s a step you don’t want to miss out on for sure.
Yumm-o.
SO easy. I will prolly make some muffins the same way tomorrow. Maybe. With chocolate chips.
I keep forgetting about this cake, thanks for the reminder!… and the adorable pics to look at! 🙂
mmmm sounds good and Layla making it is priceless!!
