March already! Between birthdays, Timmy and I both catching the death and being super sick, a surprise visit from Michelley Welly, and then Timmy’s quick little outpatient surgery February has FLOWN by.
I feel like all my posts lately have been catch up posts. One day I will get on track. Hopefully.
For what seemed like forever Timmy was sick (and I followed a few days after) All he wanted to do was lay on me or sit on me or sit next to me. I spent a lot of time on the floor. I was able to fold some laundry but forget leaving the room to take it back to the bedrooms. He would melt. down.
The sweet little bluebird kept coming to my empty feeders
L’s Girl Scout troop went to the local ice cream shop to make ice cream using a case of Thin Mints.
It smelled so good in there
They have a map that you can pin on to show where you’re from
They learned where ice cream came from and how they make it in different parts of the world
Current flavors
We went into the back (when I wasn’t carrying a whining Timmy in circles around the front of the store) to see the machine she uses to make the ice cream
The rack of toppings and stuff
The girls dumping cookie bits in and watching it mix in to the mint ice cream
Back up front picking their free scoop flavor
Then the blue bird came back and posed for me
On the 25th Timmy went in for a minor surgery to get his man bits…revised.
He wasn’t very happy with me not feeding him that morning.
The whole thing didn’t take very long once they took him back but we weren’t allowed to leave until he had wet his diaper. Between IV fluids and some full on apple juice (that he was loving!) it still took forever for him to let it out
On Wednesday night before Thomo took me to dinner for my birthday since my actual birthday was the day after Timmy’s surgery and we didn’t think he’d be up to being left yet.
When we got back to Melissa’s to pick up the kids MICHELLE was there. It was totally a surprise that Thomas, Michelle, and Melissa planned and pulled off without me knowing. Not that I pay a ton of attention to anything that goes on around me but still. NO idea. It was awesome!
And so was Michelle cooking for us.
Oohh and this mexi-cheese. Holy cow. It’s like ricotta meets string cheese kinda. So good. We were just eating it straight from the block.
I feel like everything she made was fried. It was all SO GOOD. Even if it wasn’t good for me 😉 So good.
And for my bday both Thomo and Melissa brought me bottles of wine <3
And T even brought me flowers. My favorite flowers. And if yall knew how hard it was to ever get flowers out of him than it makes these that much more special. Did that sentence make sense because it does to me.
Michelle taught me how to make enchiladas in Hawaii and now it’s my favorite way to make them. She made them for us while she was here but mixed it up and did it casserole style layering it all instead of rolling them. Oh my gosh. Yum.
Her visit was short and sweet and I was so sad to see her go. Before taking her to the airport we went to lunch at Olive Garden
February went way too fast and now it’s March. I filled my new humming bird feeders and tomorrow I will plant all of my new plants. Hello spring!
Oops…I must have missed this blog entry. Hehehe. Yay for getting flowers and wine! And you're lucky that you can plant stuff already. We have to wait until there are no more freezing temps. It's 33* out right now…I can't wait until Spring is really here and I can garden and open the windows!
