Warning: The bathrooms are bleached, Timmy is napping, and I have cookies in the oven. Now I’m feeling the need to blog about Saturday’s adventures with Girl Scouts but I’m kind of lazy at the same time. Remember when I said I take a million pictures, don’t feel like posting, but then can’t post anything newer because I need to post the oldies first?? This is me getting them out of the way so I can feel like its ok to take pictures of something else 😉 So, here is a lot of pictures of kids you prolly don’t know and Layla. And very little writing.
******************************
On Saturday morning Layla and I joined her Girl Scout troop at Lake Tholocco to be part of the 24th Annual Coastal Cleanup. Thankfully we didn’t have to go to Destin at 8am for it and lake coasts count too 😉
We got shirts/patches/stickers/water bottles/gloves/and special trash bags to use. We also got a check list to keep track of what all we found.
The gloves were a teeny bit big 😉
But that didn’t stop them!
Layla was pretty proud of her worm bucket
Parents helped too by pointing out trash and keeping track of everything. Except me. I played photographer and shoved sleeping Timmy in the stroller through the sand. Lakes have sand right?
Even little brothers helped out
Timmy helped a ton too. Really he did. I can’t imagine trying to chase him away from the water the whole time. Thank you for napping lil man!
I love this kid
and all of the little shells
Eventually the water started looking like more fun than cleaning
“Mom, is it ok to get these shoes wet??” “NO.” Everyone seemed amazed that she actually asked my permission but I was thinking it was because she already did and was trying to feel out how much trouble she would be in 😉
Way to totally cover your face Layla
“Don’t worry there aren’t snakes…” off to the side a dad chuckles…what they dont know wont (or might!) hurt them!
Great job girls!
