When planning T’s leave I knew we would have to do something fun Labor Day weekend. Since weekends are the most time that Layla will get to spend with him and it was a long weekend we had to make it special. Who would have thought our long planned out beach weekend would happen to be the same weekend that TS Lee decided to pop up and rain us out??
The main storm hit land a good ways west of us but we did get a lot of wind and rain out of it.
We weren’t going to let that get us down! Friday we picked up Layla from school and went straight to the beach. That night we ate at The Red Bar. And oh wow did I feel like I did not have the money to be eating with those people. Geesh! Fo sho not our crowd. But the place was fun and the people that worked there were fun. And everyone and their mother commented on how sweet Timmy was. It helped that out of no where he picked up the wave and say “HI” at everyone that walks by trick with his big blue eyes and one cheek dimple. He’s rediculously awesome.
‘Our’ house. Layla wants to move there. I do too.
And this is only a tiny taste of the house. 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, TWO fridges, TWO dishwashers, TWO washing machines…*sigh* And lots of sand. But I’d take the sand.
And if I can’t move there I’d totally take this house.
We didn’t get totally rained out. We snuck over to the beach for a few minutes before some rain came just to see it. This was Timmy’s first time to the beach EVER. It’s weird realizing that because Layla pretty much grew up at the beach until she was 3. And from 3-6 years she has been maybe 4 times? So sad!
Timmy freakin loved it.
And at first Layla was a little paranoid about the HUGE HURRICANE that was coming out way. Then I had to tell her it wasnt really and it was ok. She’s a worry wart.
It was cloudy and windy though and we all got sand blasted. But so worth it.
I’m not a huge swim in the ocean person but I’d live here and stare at it for the rest. of. my. life.
Layla warmed up to it pretty quick too
Oy vey. As much as I hate whining about things (Ok, not really…it’s what I do best) I’m going to go ahead and say PLEASE excuse the crooked horizons. I’m far too lazy to edit them all straight and I just want yall to know it makes me twitch BIG time. Thank you.
Moving on. What would a beach trip be without a dead fish picture? Incomplete.
And then the rain came so we had to go back.
But now without a quick snap of the house I will buy when I win the lottery
Thomas took the kids back to the beach after the rain stopped while I ran to the store. I wish I would have been there. Sounds like they had fun. Both kids were burried in the sand 🙂 It was nice having Timmy showered and napping when I got back though!
I found THIS picture on my camera. It’s pretty much just so I never forget it and a reminder to check Target ASAP for more.
Animal crackers, pretzels, M&Ms, raisins, and yogurt covered pretzel balls. OMYUM.
Timmy ate all of the raisins no one else wanted. Before he discovered the yogurt balls.
I told Thomas this morning that I already miss waking up with Timmy and just sitting and watching this in the morning. Not having to get anyone up and ready for anything was nice 🙂
Finally our weekend came to an end and we had to head back up to Alabama and real life and more rain waiting for us in Enterprise.
Oh it is so peaceful and looks like you had a good time!! I wish I was there with you all!!
Looks aaaamazing!!
