The Halloween Post

Even though I’ve posted the main ones to Facebook I need to post them here too 🙂

Layla was Dorothy this year. She wanted to be a few different things before finishing The Wizard of Oz. After reading the book and then seeing this sparkly Dorothy dress at Walmart she was hooked. And now she has a new pair of red glitter shoes. She hasn’t had any since she was 3!

Timmy’s costume was iffy. I wanted to make him Max from Where the Wild Things Are. He wanted NOTHING to do with the costume. Last minute I grabbed the *last* little yellow shirt from Hobby Lobby and painted a black zigzag line around it. Voila! The perfect outfit for my little block head. But I worked hard on that costume darn it, he was going to wear it. It took Melissa spoon feeding him ice cream while I put the costume on him then taking him straight outside where he could forget the torture of getting dressed. He was in it though and thank goodness because it cooled off and this was WARM.

This is probably the most still Layla was in a picture for me. She was off a house or 2 ahead most of the night.

Leave it to Timmy to be the one to bleed on Halloween. Poor kid. We were MAYBE 4 houses into our night of trick or treating when the guy is the creepy mask answers the door…

Timmy was NOT amused.

He took off down the driveway and face planted and took a chunk out of his nose and scraped his face.

We went of course with the Wilkins girls and another family that we met when all of the smallish kids went to the big Kindergarten together. I like that they still see each other now that they go to different schools.

The blurry boy trying to figure out this whole trick or treating thing. He’d walk a few houses then climb in the stroller for a block then want out again.

An almost still shot of Layla!
