Yesterday the kids and I joined some friends and fellow Girl Scouts for a Breakfast with Santa at PoFolks. It was actually a lot of fun and yay for not having to cook for the kids! Timmy ate maybe one bite of pancakes and half of my Styrofoam cup. It was a lot of fun though! I wish I had made my kids sit on Santa’s lap because when we went to the mall later he wanted NOTHING to do with the Santa there 🙁
I got a picture of L’s friend up on his lap. Layla said she was too nervous because she didn’t know what she wanted for Christmas.
Timmy refused a highchair but did decent in the big chair even though he was up and down most of the time. At least there was no running wild and screaming.
The kids were given little papers to remind Santa if they had been naughty or nice. I told Timmy to check naughty but Layla made sure he knew he needed to fill in nice if he wanted a present.
Don’t fall for those blue eyes.
After breakfast we went home to wait for someone to pick up some stuff I’m getting rid of before we headed off to Dothan. I mentioned to Layla that the yard guy was coming to get rid of the leaves and she melted into a very fake but over dramatic fit saying “HOW COULD YOU DOOOOO THIS TO MEEEE!?”
So we raked our first (and prolly last) leaf pile of the year.
Timmy wasn’t too sure what I expected him to do with this pile of leaves
Layla tried to show him what to do
And then she tried to bury him….
I tried to get just ONE picture of both of their faces. Maybe something print worthy to send to grandparents and aunts and uncles because I totally suck and ordered the smallest school picture package I could and now I have nothing but wallets to send out. Oops. And yeah…Im thinking a picture together isn’t going to happen this year.
Finally Timmy walked into the leaves and threw a big handful up in the air
And then freaked out when he had leaves stuck to him
The rest of the day was spent in Dothan standing in the Santa line at the mall, trying and failing to get Timmy to sit on Santa’s lap, looking for ornaments, buying gifts for people other than my kids because they were with me, cleaning the biggest public vomit from Timmy maybe EVER and then buying Layla a new pony because even though she wanted to hide and puke herself she sucked it up and helped me with it 🙂 I might scan and post this years Santa picture later if I remember to. And I’m pretty sure she wore the same shirt from last years picture…soo…oh well.
A great blog Meggo!! I love the pictures!!
