We’ve made it in one piece! Woo! And I have a lot of pictures to share from our trip. And a lot from before we left that I want to share before they get lost forever.
So here we go. The day before we left: Melissa’s neighbor’s horses hanging out behind her back fence. Layla was in love.
This picture of Timmy playing L’s DSi makes me happy. I love his toes.
The drive to Atlanta was long. I’m sure I’ve posted a picture of this place before…
T says this is the Winn Dixie house
We got to the hotel in ATL and unloaded the Uhaul trailer we rented to haul our luggage. There’s more than just this…
Thomo went to drop the trailer and then take the car to be shipped. We stayed and climbed on things. By we I mean Timmy.
We were up by 4am on the 1st and were lucky that the hotel shuttle was bigger than they told us and we were able to get everyone/thing on it in one trip! Then we sat and waited until everything opened and we could get someone with a big ol’ cart to help us carry it all.
Sunrise Atlanta
Poor dogs had no idea what they were about to go through
Ready for take off! Timmy’s first flight 🙂
Not sure where this was. Somewhere over the North Pole would be my guess since we went up and around the world to get to Korea. No straight shots here. It never got dark. It went from bright, to this, to bright again.
By the time we landed and got everything into vans and made it back from the airport it was dark so I didn’t see much outside. But this is our yard from the next morning 🙂
Yesterday was busy busy. Got the quick tour of post and got a lot of stuff done. This is heading into post…
There’s a Starbucks at the PX.
After a lot of running around we went to Osan (the air base with the ‘big’ commissary) to get some stuff at the PX and commy.
Timmy was passed. out.
The Osan commissary is comparable to Rucker’s I’d say. But there was NO ONE there. It was so weird. Maybe 6 other shoppers in the whole store. I was telling Thomas how that was the least stressful shopping trip EVER after coming from the land of a million retired people. So nice.
And look at these MONSTER carrots. Layla did not want to buy them.
Randoms:
Layla is so into music right now. She was rockin out to something while T aired up his tired
This is outside of Osan’s front gate I think?
Layla was begging to play in the snow all day. When we got home I sent her out with the dogs. Not much left but she loved it 🙂 I stayed inside where it was warm.
Our dogs aren’t totally sure about the snow. Lots of tip toeing through it and I think at one point Sadie took a few steps on just her front feet. We’re not in Alabama anymore!
And that’s it for now. I need to charge my camera battery and once I get everything unpacked I might take pictures of our home while it’s nice and empty and clutter free before our stuff comes and it fills up.
Korea High:
Heated floors. BEST thing ever to walk into a bathroom in the morning and not step on a cold floor. Im in love with the floors.
Korea Low:
It’s freeeeezing outside!
Love it! So glad you made it in there in one piece and are getting settled in 🙂
This is flippin’ rad! I can’t wait to go visit!
I loved all your pictures!! The Timmy feet one was priceless!! You and feet!!
