A few days late…but whatever. Once again I had plans of taking some amazing Christmas morning pictures and once again it was chaos and it didnt happen. I did get the regular kids tearing into paper pictures so I’ll share those.
But first a few from Christmas Eve…
I was super slacking on getting cookies made this year. We baked them Christmas Eve morning (no pictures of course…) and frosted them that night to be ready to leave out for Santa. Our friend, Rocky, from HI, AL, and now Korea came over to eat with us. He helped Layla decorate. He did pretty well for his first time!
I broke out my Christmas wine topper that Kassie gave me last year 🙂
Thomas found some gross beer. But it said Fixed Gear (he’s a bike nerd) and had to have it.
Guys making dinner. Fantastic sight!
And finally the yay lets open ONE present on Christmas Eve! I wonder what it will be?!
PJs! One year they will catch on.
Christmas morning I woke up to Layla sitting in the living room waiting for us to get up. She found the new Webkinz that Santa brought. Thomas and I got up and started coffee and preheated the oven so I could make Jessica’s French Toast Casserole. Now we just had to wait for Timmy to wake up so we could open prezzies.
Of course he woke up in a bad mood but seeing his new Chuck truck flipped that switch fast. He wasn’t into opening the presents though until T opened the first one for him. A new pirate ship. THAT got his attention.
He figured out what to do pretty quick and was very much into Christmas.
One good thing about having to order all of our gifts online or have family send gifts in the mail means everything comes in a nice, flat, shipping box.Unless there was more than one persons gift in a box that needed to be separated I wrapped everything as it came.
I wish I had more pictures of Layla or any of Thomas opening gifts…but I was sitting next to Timmy so that’s what I got.
Mom fail.
We spent the rest of the day opening packages, cutting toys out of boxes, and attempting to wrangle all the paper into a bag.
The kids were overwhelmed with everything they got. Moving from toy to toy. Having to test each new thing out.
This Christmas was big for them. Not intentionally. I think I just got a little freaked by our lack of shopping options here.
So I ordered online. A lot.
There was stuff…IS stuff…everywhere.
Super dad assembling Barbie’s Glam Pool 🙂
Bag #1
I didn’t do too bad this year either. Santa brought me the Silhouette Cameo that I’ve been begging for. As well as a metal stamping kit. I’ve spent the last few days trying to wrap my head around all the things I can do with them, ordering vinyl, and hammering metal.
Today. Today will the the day I plug in the Cameo and try it out. It’s so intimidating.
The metal stamping is lots of fun and less scary to do.
I just need to practice keeping my letters straight.
That’s all for Christmas. It’s snowing. Again. Time to finish up my 2012 year in photos post 😀
I love all the pictures!! The kids really made out!! And so did you!! 🙂 I was looking at that Cameo thing online it is so interesting! Only one thing wrong No Pictures of You!! I love you all!!
