Tattoos I have and more that I want

We’ve been spending our nights this past week or so catching up on two and a half seasons of the show Ink Master. Where have I been?? (Silly question…in Korea…) This show is awesome and now I want a bunch of tattoos. Well, I wanted more before I saw this show but now it’s all fresh in my mind.  Also, watching the show and the judging is making me judge the couple I have as well as any others I see. Because over dosing on a tattoo reality elimination show makes me a professional at all things ink now. That’s how it works, right?!

 

There’s a tattoo and tag going around YouTube that I’ve been loving. I thought I’d do my own blog version of it while I’m riding my tattoo high. Then I’ll share a few of my dream tattoos as well.

Starting out, my first tattoo aka my prison tat…. some ghetto little stars my dad did in our kitchen with a home made tattoo gun. I was 17 when I got them. And they’re maybe the size of a quarter. Seriously…impressive stuff here. See the tiny stars back there? I thought I was pretty awesome at the time.

 

 

Next, one of my favorites, which was also a ghetto kitchen home made gun tattoo, was done by my best friend. The night before I left Arizona to move to Hawaii and be a grown up my best friend and I gave each other matching-ish little tiny flower tattoos on our ankles. They’re so bad…but when it didn’t stick I went in and paid cash money to have someone retrace it because it meant a lot to me. I miss you Callie!

 

 

My third (and 4th and 5th?) tattoo I got while T was in Iraq and I was back home in AZ over Christmas. The BFF, Callie, and I went and got another tattoo together but this time we went to a shop and had someone else do it for us 😉 I got my red, white, and blue stars on my wrist. This is another favorite of mine just because I get to see it every day.

The last tattoo I got was also my largest tattoo. My tree and bird. When I went in to get it my tattoo artist thought I was nuts going so big after only having such small little mini ones. And holy cow it hurt. A LOT. The ribs are no joke. Some areas were better than others but yikes. I want to say it took about 2 hours? Bleh. And I totally need to get another bird in there.

 

Some tattoos I want:

Ok this list is crazy long. I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to Ink. I know I want something over my left shoulder to balance the tree on my right side. Not sure what I want though. Something flowery probably.

 

 

 

I also ‘need’ my Little Mermaid heart and crown. I’ve been wanting this for at least 10 years. It will happen some day. I don’t need all the hoopla like this one has. Just the heart and crown.

Nerd tattoos. Ok, I’m not sure if I’d go through with anything seriously nerdy but I do love pinning them. The Star Wars tattoos are seriously making me giddy.  But I prolly wouldn’t actually put one on my body. Same with 90% of the LOTR tattoos.

DUDE.

Another wrist tattoo. At this point I have nothing planned there but probably a word or something long and skinny.

Words. I big puffy heart word tattoos.

A camera.  Cute or realistic.

A pin up girl. Not sure where or what kind (roller derby? Hula girl?) but the idea is fun.

I’m kind of in love with boats. So much. Usually I love the traditional ones but this is so pretty too.

I could really do this all day. I want about a million and 1 tattoos at this point. And I don’t have enough body parts I want to actually get tattooed to make it happen. Maybe I will just be that client that goes in asking for a boat with a pin up girl on it wearing roller skates, a grass skirt, and holding a camera with words around it all that would probably be some LOTR quote and in the background I need it to look like space with the millennium falcon flying in. And lets throw the number 26 in there somewhere.
