Mobile Zoo

Hey, y’all! I’ve been sitting on some pictures for a while so I may as well get around to posting them. On our way home from Biloxi on Easter we decided to try to do something fun with kids. We did a quick Google search of “Mobile zoo” and thought the zoo idea was perfect.

And then we entered the address into our GPS.

And then we took every crazy back road through Mississippi into Alabama.

And then the GPS said we were there…only we weren’t. There was just a tiny country road and some farms. No big zoo. Or even a small zoo.

After driving around the area a bit more we saw some signs for a zoo and followed them to someone’s driveway.

It was a lot less ‘zoo’ish than we were expecting… More like McClelland’s Critters without the Australian tour guide.

We walked into the front desk/gift shop room and no one was there. Just a sign saying they were out taking care of animals please pay on your way out.

First room was full of big birds. A lot of them looked like they’d seen better days. All had signs saying they were donated in current condition and are healthy.

Once we got out into the actual zoo it was very similar to the one in Alabama. Lots of small enclosures with a little of everything when it came to small animals.

There were a few bigger animals too

Not sure if she was talking to the tiger next door or the motorcycle that rode by but it was prolly the most exciting point of our zoo trip.

That’s it. While we were kind of disappointed in the zoo since we were expecting something a lot bigger, it turned out to be the perfect size. It was a good time and we got through it quickly and were able to get back on the road home.
