Wow it’s been for.e.ver. since I’ve done a High Five for Friday post. I don’t know why? Life just happens I guess. Things come up and then I forget. Either way, I’m back (at least this week. One week at a time haha) and am linking up with Lauren to share my 5 happy things from the week. Hopefully I didn’t already share too much because I can’t remember what I’ve posted already.
1.) Totes Amaze. – Did I mention yet that TJ Maxx just opened here in town? Well I’m kind of in love with it. Kassie and I went today after the gym just because. Just to walk around and touch the things. I love this tote but I can’t spend $8 on it. I did leave today with some pumpkin spice room spray and let me just tell you now…it’s heaven.
2.) 21 Day Fix. – I’ve been signed up as a coach with this company for a while now and am just now ordering from them. I’m just not a home workout kind of person. I have a gym membership with childcare for a reason. I have zero motivation to work out when I’m home. There are a million other things that get my attention and need to be done. Any who, I saw this program came out and it really sparked my interest. It does come with the DVDs but it is more nutrition focused. I know that I already know how and what to eat…I just don’t. This comes with containers and tells you based on your calorie needs how much you need to eat. Each container color is for a different type of food (protein, carbs, veggies, fruits, etc) so you can easily measure things out. I’m going to be starting it Sept. 29 and going on into October. Hopefully I stick with it. I’m just trying to figure out which container I fill with PB filled pretzel nuggets and iced coffee.
3.) Killin’ the gym. – Today was Day 40 of the Live Fit Trainer. We are well into Phase 2 now. First it was a LOT added to the program from phase 1. We did drop the Saturday workout so we are down a leg day but are adding 4 days of cardio in on top of our weight training. I love it even though while I’m on the elliptical I think I’d much rather be home. I *think* I’m seeing a difference. We’ll see what my after pictures say.
4.) Handstands! – Speaking of gym time… this is what we do when we are done. Playdate at the gym. Handstand selfies and seeing who can hold it longer. Kassie totally did. My head wanted to explode. I don’t know how all y’all crossfit people are always doing handstands everywhere. It was kinda fun though but there’s no long term holding for me…
5.) The Derby Circle. – One of our girls posted a video on our team’s FB page showing a big circle and 2 girls on skates trying to legally shove the other out of the circle. It’s all about foot work and legal blocking/hitting. So much FUN. We made our own circle for practice last night. It was a blast! Seriously though, when else can you be completely sweaty disgusting and have such a great time rubbing all over your friends? Do normal people do that or is it a derby thing? I can’t imagine the people at the gym laughing as they slip off of each others shoulders.
That’s all from this week. It feels really good to be back blogging again.
The 21DayFix sounds interesting. I will have to check it out. I wish I could do handstands. I never accomplished one. I enjoyed reading your blog.
