I spose this post is more of a list for my benefit…to keep thoughts organized. Which also could be what Pinterest is for…but who likes digging through the 10,000 things they’ve compulsively pinned to find the one that they actually want to do? Not me.
Things I Want To Try When I Decide To Be A Good Mom*:
1. Cradle Cap Remedy.
L had it bad until she was 3 and Melissa took care of it. Timmy has it bad…but his hair is long and he hates being picked at. This sounds like it will take some time (at least more than he will tolerate) but hopefully it’s a one time thing.

2. Window Painting.
Seriously, how much effort does this take?! I guess I’m lazy. And I have a feeling Timmy would rip it open.
I don’t have much faith in this kid :/

3. Doll Detangler.
Layla’s American Girl Doll has some wicked hair. One day I’ll do this…but until then I’ll just pin it.

4. Toddler Entertainment.
Honestly I havent even clicked this link. It’s something I pinned with good intentions but never tried.
And then I see Niki do this cover photo with her kid that is younger than Timmy.

5. Sensory Box.
I’ve heard about these a ton from my fellow preemie moms (not that it’s a preemie thing…but its just where Ive heard of them) I actually had to Google to see what the point was. All I see if a floor covered in rice/beans/etc… When did I become such a fuddy duddy?! But it does look fun…we might make one.

6. Homemade Art Supplies.
Ok, I’ve done the playdough and it was fun for a day or two. When Layla was little we made finger paints and playdough and sidewalk paint and were always doing crafts. Crafting with Timmy scares me. Maybe because we never do it. Maybe he will surprise me.

*Disclaimer: I’m not saying that moms that aren’t the ‘super hands on enjoy the small things uber DIY crafters that spend all day soaking in good memories with their kids’ kind of moms are BAD moms. Because I sure am not one of those moms. This is just how I feel about me. I’d like to find a nice happy balance between the two.
Haha no need for disclaimer. I get it! Besides, these all look like “busy work” to me…aka I can eat or pee in peace. LOL I love these though. I think I will try the window paint or sensory box with Jude this week.
