Do you ever have to do something that you REALLY don’t want to do. Something that just thinking of makes you cringe and want to run the other way. I do. In fact, that’s how I feel every time I think about going to the commissary. The isles are about 1.5 carts wide and there are always about 50 carts in each isle all parked while you are trying to get through. I can not stand the place. I knew I didn’t like it in Hawaii but here…here is much much much worse. AND they’re not even OPEN on Monday. That’s weird.
So, a few days ago Melissa told me she needed to go shopping. I just went but there were some things I had forgotten due to me being easily distracted by the ingredients to a certain 5 ingredient pumpkin cake. She wants to do the commy. I cringed a little but suck it up because they have the Senseo coffee pods that Walmart doesn’t have and hot peppers that Walmart doesn’t have. So I go.
After getting the kids strapped in and loaded up with fruit snacks we head toward the fruit which is the first thing you come to…usually. Then Melissa makes a sharp right turn and goes though wall of those thick plastic flaps. After telling her 500 times that I never knew this was back here and her telling me just as many times that she didn’t know there was a bathroom by the front door we continue our shopping through this secret back room. We pass a lot of bagged holiday candy and gift packs and soda…then we turn the corner. Here is where the silver lining comes in…
I probably gasped loud enough for the people in Hawaii to hear me when I saw the best thing that Ive seen in a year.
Can you guess?
POWDERED COFFEE MATE HOLIDAY CREAMERS!
That’s right. I found them. And you know what is even better? They are the BIG bottles! NOT the half sized ones that Hawaii sells.
Oh my lord was I ever excited. Can you tell?
AND THEY HAVE COUPONS!
I saved $3 on those bad boys.
Honestly I’m a little scared for Thomas to get home and see them. I admit Im a bit of an impulse shopper. This has been coming though. I have said many times that when I found it I was stocking up. I didnt even buy all of them. Just the ones with coupons taped on them 😉
Getting them all out of the bag though…I might have gone over board. BUT I should be good until next year. At least I know where to find them now 🙂
Or maybe I just need counseling.
Edited to add…I almost feel weird with my coffee mate hoarding…until I just read Miss Lea’s blog about her razors. See, its normal, right?
i think you need a therapist 😉
I was SO excited to find the pumpkin creamer, too! Its about TIME! There’s also some really good International Delights pumpkin spice latte in the tin can you can get as well… its yumm-o.
Hahaha on Lea’s blog… isn’t it awesome?! I’ve still yet to count up my razors, but I imagine I have 8 or 9 hundred as well. FREE money woot woot :p
If you’re looking for an enabler you can hide them in my pantry!
That is too funny about coffee mate. You are SO right about the isles! I don’t get it. Pete is not allowed to push the basket because he goes into “Florida aggressive driver mode” and then starts to give evil eye to anyone he thinks is in his way. For me though, it beats 8 or 9% sales tax!
DUDE! I looove the Peppermint Mocha, I dnd’t know they had it powdered form… MY fridge is kinda packed ya know…but I bet I could find some room in my car trunk for a few! 😛
Dude… Coupons are the Holy Grail of Shopping!! 😛
Impulse shopping rules!
Glad you found them, and lots at that!
Nice…when I come visit sometime next year I know you’ll still have some so we can enjoy some coffee together 😀
That Rocks! Love the pumpkin spice!
LOL…You’re awesome!!!!
HAHA Thanks for the laugh this morning! =)
How long will it take you to go through those…or should I say I soon will they be devoured?
ENJOY!
