Catchin’ Up From Arizona

We made it! We flew out of Birmingham yesterday morning, changed planes in Vegas, and headed down to Tucson. We woke up at 530am and left a little after 6 to make the 3.5 hour drive to Birmingham. It was COLD. And the sun wasn’t up. Layla was confused that we were up and leaving before the sun because usually I tell her not to get out of bed until the sun is up 😉

My car was nice and frosty. These 2 are from the day before. I just haven’t loaded pictures in a long time.

Yesterday morning the car was much more frozen since the sun hadn’t hit it yet.

We got to watch the sun come up on the way

And it got really pretty and foggy.

Lets just be thankful that we were watching the pretty from INSIDE the car

It was a long drive with no coffee but Layla did awesome. She talked the whole way though which was driving me batty but at least it was happy good mood talking I guess

And then we got to Birmingham and it had real buildings! It made me miss Hawaii. And Tucson.

Of course on the flight to Vegas we had awesome seats and flew over the Hoover Dam and saw the strip…but my camera was up in the overhead bin. And wouldnt you know on the flight to Tucson when I was prepared we got a seat over the wing and I couldnt see anything.

I did get a few Vegas pictures though. Like these of Layla waiting for her lunch.

That’s my girl. Rub your face in those germs while I take a picture of your scrunched nose. Girl’s gotta build an immune system some how, right?

And of course what would the Vegas airport be without slot machines.

This is going to be a busy weekend but I will try to keep as updated as I can 🙂

  2. I’ve been a follower of your blog for a while now..and I was reading in Time Out New York (the weekly New York magazine for hot new things, etc. etc.) that there is a website: submit.shutterstock.com where you can submit your photos and if people (web peeps, professional peeps) buy them, you make .25 a photo. I thought you may be interested since you take lots and lots of cool pics. May as well get paid for it!
