Yesterday was L’s first day of spring break. It stormed most of the day so we had a fun inside day besides running through the rain in the morning to feed the neighbors dog. We went over while it was sprinkling and ended up waiting in the garage for a good moment to dart back over. It all let up after lunch though so we headed out to do some window shopping and pick up some needed things at the Walmarts.
It was coming down HARD for a while. Not that you can tell from this picture but it was 😉
In no time the yard was flooding
The potatoes were loving it but the strawberries were about to float away. And the poor little chipmunk was flooded out. He spent the morning in one of the flower pots on the porch. Usually I’m mad that he digs in them but I felt bad for him this time and didn’t scare him away.
And finally our biggest fallen stick. I was going to drag it out to the curb for the trash guys to get but the blue jays kept sitting on it and I just couldn’t move it 😐
On another note, before the storm came T brought to my attention that the roses by the light pole that I have never seen bloom had a flower!
And this is prolly what I am most proud of. My little baby jalapeno 🙂 This is the first little one to start growing and then there is the next flower and lots and lots of buds on the 2 plants that are going to pop out some peppers! Even the habanero is starting to show signs of buds. 😀
Aren’t you supposed to pluck the flowers so that the peppers get all the nutrients and water to grow bigger???? Hmm…I’m gonna have to call my dad lol. I may be making all of that up in my head!
You are too funny about the birds! I would have had to move the branch because the perfectionist in me wouldn’t be able to stand it in the yard (blue jays be darned…sorry Melissa…remember I am hormonal!)
I love the way the “torpedo stick” made the post….I forgive you April (this time)mostly because I’m OCD too ;0)
