First of all yesterday I got to shoot a birthday dinner on the beach HERE
Lordy Im going to miss this island.
Anywho, on the way home I made it through the usual back up around Pearl City. Not too bad there. The cars were all moving and thats what counts in my book. Then I get off onto the H2 where the traffic pretty much dies off and am minutes from my exit. And then I see it. Cars stopped foreeevveerrr. The Mililani Mauka exit is closed which brought everything down to 3, then 2 lanes. Oy! It took me like 30 minutes to get from KaUka to the Mililani town exit. If I would have remembered them talking about it on the radio earlier I would have got off on the KaUka, grabbed some drive through Starbucks, then taken Kam Hwy all the way home. But no. So I sat and sat and sat and took picture after picture. Then I found the spider that crawled into my camera bag at the beach.
Darn it…I JUST passed the KaUka exit and DIDNT get off!
And we’re still sittin
And then we stopped. 
And then I look to my right and there is NINA! She was a friend of mine a couple years back and has since moved away. I heard she was back on island the other day but didnt expect her to be NEXT to me in traffic. I yelled at her but she didnt hear…then they got in front of me.
And the back of this truck said “Toyo”
And then I put my camera down and finished driving home while listening to the Empire Records soundtrack. I Love that movie 🙂
