Birthday Bowling

Where has my motivation been lately? I just can’t bring myself to get on here and blog. I’ll try to get better at it I promise. Saturday night Layla had her friend Lacie over to spend the night. When we were getting ready to leave to take her home Sunday morning Layla begged me for a picture of them so she could put it in a frame. She is not liking the idea of Lacie moving in a few months. Not one bit.

After dropping her off Layla and I headed to the PX to hang out with T. It was his birthday and he was lucky enough to be on pass that day. He had to stay with a buddy though. We hung out there and ate lunch while waiting for the bowling alley to open at 1. Layla loves bowling a lot.

She loves her dad even more though and was really excited to see him. It has been a hard few weeks for her this time around.

She does NOT like too hot fries. It burnt her mouth.

Then it was cake time. Between PX and bowling alley, Layla and I headed to the commissary to pick T up a birthday cake. I let Layla choose from the 2 they had. She liked the squiggles better than the blue and yellow butterflies. Then she told the lady it needed to say Happy Birthday Daddy. We gave anyone in the bowling alley that wanted one a piece. I was determined to NOT bring any home with me. That’s all I need at 9pm…birthday cake calling my name.

I had a fun time. It was great seeing Thomas and meeting some of his friends. Layla had a blast too. One more week and T graduates!
