Last week Layla’s school went on a field trip to the agriculture center/petting zoo. It was her first ride on a school bus and she was beyond excited about that! But a little nervous that it would go too fast.
It was a pretty cute set up and there were a ton of different preschools there
First we all sat down and the kids were given a peanut butter cracker sammich and some juice for a snack.
Once they finished she took off with her friend/bus buddy to check everything out.
First stop was the table to learn about plants and pick out some seeds to take home
Then they stopped to feed chickens
THIS turned out to be Layla’s favorite part. I wasn’t sure at first if she would be willing to touch one and actually pick it up but she was allll about it!
Baby chicks 🙂 A friend gave me 2 baby chicks in high school. They BOTH turned into roosters. NO fun.
After some chick torturing they went over to a big trailer with a pig in it. Layla was good until the pig was trying to eat some little boy who was holding something the pig liked
Annnnd back to the chicks. This is the boy Layla says she is going to marry when she gets bigger but will still live with us.
He’s sweet and shy and sort of reminds me of Chris Kattan
I thought this was neat…the growth of chickens I guess it is even though I don’t remember my chicks growing this fast. Maybe stupid roosters are slower.
Here the girls were sitting and watching a cow being milked by a machine. Then they got to line up to pet the cow.
This was fun. Layla was trying to feed the goat and got a little annoyed when it wasn’t paying attention to her. At the same time all of the other parents were trying to get the kids to line up for a picture. They weren’t interested.
Well one boy was…
It was a fun field trip and Layla had a great time. Next month they’re going to the pumpkin patch!
AW, the baby chicks were SO CUTE! I was laughing about urs turning into roosters. LOL!
The chicks are so cute! Looks like it was a fun day. I can't wait to go on fieldtrips with Cody's preschool.
Baby chicks are so cute. I always love em.
