Well baby and I made it home! He was set free from the hospital on Sunday and we have spent this week trying to adjust and mesh all of our schedules. A lot harder than I thought! There are just not enough hours in the day to get done what I want…at least not enough uninterrupted hours.
I have a good bit of pictures to post here and SO many to catch up on the 365 blog.
Lets start with Thomas and Layla coming up to Birmingham. Layla’s first time seeing Timmy out of his box.
She told the Dr that his hospital hat was really girly. Also since they were moving to the new building they were giving away a ton of books. Layla got a handful and read one to her brother
And then she held him for the first time with Dad’s help
Earlier that day we went to the McWane Science Center with another family that we met in the RNICU/Ronald McDonald house. They had cranes and tractors and a fire truck outside that day for the kids to play in
I found some mirrors on the side of the building
Inside they had this big tube you stand in and it would blow wind SUPER hard. Layla actually loved it
The bottom floor had a small aquarium which was fun
Upstairs there was a bike on a wire type thing. T was the only one to try it
And there was a room full of blocks to build stuff with
There was TONS of other stuff. No way I could get pictures of everything especially when I have 2 weeks to put in one post. If you live in Alabama you should go there. Lots of fun! And if you stay at the Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham they have a free pass you can sign out to use. It is good for up to 6 kids and whatever adults go with them 🙂
After T and Layla went back to Enterprise TF and I spent the week trying to make it 5 days without a brady (heart rate drop under 80bpm) which would put us at Sunday as discharge day.
Thomas came back up Friday and we just crossed our fingers that nothing would happen in the next couple days to keep us there for another week! And nothing did happen!
Sunday we were OUTTA there! Thomo got the carseat all ready for lil T.
And then he got him dressed in his going home/real baby/no more monitors clothes 😀
The hospital sent us home with LOTS of random goodies. We even snatched up the little oxygen mask that he used right after he was born 🙂 They said they would just throw it away so we grabbed it lol
Still tiny but bigger than we thought he would be. Going home weight was 6lb 8oz!
And finally a few snaps of him today. Our neighbor’s daughter nick named him Timmy Fred even before we knew he was a he. She had this made for him 🙂
🙂 Now lets hope I can get the energy and time to go through all the random phone pictures I took in the past couple weeks to update the other blog!
Congratulations! He is too cute and I love his WADE pants 🙂
Layla is getting so big! TF is beautiful!
So glad you are all healthy, and finally going home to enjoy your new family.
