The other day I went to take the trash out through the garage where I realized the door was left open all night. When I was walking through I heard a deep buzzing sound and totally got freaked out about what kind of monster bug was going to fly at me when I turned around.
Only there was no bug. It was a hummingbird. Who knows how long it was in there but it stayed in there for hours bouncing off of the ceiling over and over not able to see the HUGE open door to fly out of.
Eventually we grabbed the feeder from the front porch and hung it inside. T had to back his big flashy red car out of the garage too. Once we did that (after too many attempts at swatting it out with random things) it came right down and took the longest drink ever. Then it saw the HUGE open door and flew out.
And do you know what Layla’s main concern was about the whole situation? What if it DIES? And not because it would be sad…but because the garage would then start to smell like dead rotting hummingbird and that would be gross 😐
Weirdo.
And because I don’t take nearly enough pictures anymore…especially of Layla…I snapped a couple of our hot dog octopus.
