I’m really getting creative with the post names, huh? But it’s the truth. These pictures are from Wednesday. And there’s no real theme either. Mostly Timmy sleeping and me starting out with desk pictures and moving around the house. And then post-Walmart.
I got a new desk. In my “T’s gone I need to redo everything in the house” fit I decided to get rid of the huge Kmart corner desk that we have had for 7 years and get something smaller so I could have less clutter and more room for fun things on the walls.
I had originally given myself a $60 limit and got to where I could get to Craigslist and search “desk” in my sleep. Nada. Nothing I was looking for anyway. I wanted something vintagey with drawers but just a desk. No hutch, no corner desk, nothing huge…but still big enough.
Melissa and I decided to go junking around town before picking up the girls from school. After one flea market we decided that we didn’t have time to make it to Daleville where the junk store with all the furniture is so she brought up Earl’s.
We went there and checked out when they had. Right when we walked in I saw this desk.
OMG perfect!
$85. Not perfect. What’s $25 though when its solid wood and heavy AND has a BIRD painted on the top?!
A lot I guess because after tax it was even further away from my $60 goal and I felt sick all day (still do a bit) about how much I spent on it. Even though EVERYONE is saying it was an awesome deal. I’m cheap and paying so much for something hurts. If I could have just charged $5 at a time I would have been good.
But the bird had me sold 🙂
Any who, did I tell y’all I was going to take pictures of all of my blooming things and post happy spring pictures? I thought about saying that I would if I didn’t. And I haven’t. This is about as springy as this post gets…

They kinds creep me out. It’s just a fish but I swear these little tetra are so much smarter and have more personality than our fat gold fish had.

While Timmy was still sleeping I figured I’d better flat iron some sense into my bangs before he got up and made it impossible.
Then I walked in to this. Tub animals drying in the sink.
Ok so when Timmy woke up he was in a MOOD. What better way to snap him out of it than to run to Walmart. He loves people and being out. I love not sitting at home listening to him scream and hang from my leg. Walmart was a win/win situation. I was looking for some swim trunks or board shorts for him so we can swim with some friends this weekend. They had ONE non Character themed pair there in 18months and I snatched them up.
They’re a tiny bit too big and I kept the tags on just in case we find something in Dothan tomorrow.
I would really love a good picture of him. I wish he would stop moving for 5 seconds and look cute.
And the second I try to get him to look at me and he sees me down on the floor holding something with buttons he is all about getting to it NOW.
He is pretty cute even at top speed and blurred.
If only the little drawstring was real and not just to look cute they might fit better.
My poor old camera just cant keep up with him.
Like his tongue? It’s the new thing around here to walk around with your tongue out I guess. This morning when I was getting them in the car to take Layla to school he still had it out and leaned forward JUST in time to get that tongue snapped in his cars eat buckle. NOT a happy baby. And of course I felt like an ass too.
Layla is so excited to go swimming. This winter just went by too slow and we are ready for some sun! Here she is with her mask on ready to go (in 3 days).
I love her little gappy teeth 🙂
Tomorrow we are heading to Dothan for Timmy’s post surgery follow up. Since Layla is out of school tomorrow I figured we would have lunch somewhere and maybe find something else fun to do. I’ll get back to you with pictures if that actually happens 😉

Once again….SUPER cute! Don't you hate how drawstrings are always fake? Chloe has a couple pairs of board shorts that are like that…she is so skinny and it makes me mad that I can't tighten the darn things! I want summer to be here so badly! We had 80s for 3 days and now it's in the 30s….gah! And more snow on way this weekend…where did spring go?!
