There Is An Ocean

Patio had been here for 2 days without seeing any coast or ocean or anything to make her believe she was actually on an island. Yesterday we were determined to change that. We ended up at KoOlina and were turned out of lagoon 4 and lagoon 3. That’s when we remembered its summer break. Dumb. We were lucky though when we checked out the first lagoon. Not Lagoon 1, but the one that the luau uses where I take pictures. LOTS of parking. We hung out there for a while and saw 2 big turtles swimming around in the small, shallow lagoon. Hooray for underwater cameras! Too bad something happened and the waterproof seals on the thing malfunctioned and the whole camera got soaked and broke. Not sure what happened to it. Thankfully the laptop has a card reader and we were able to get our pictures off. Now we’re just bummed that we cant take it snorkling tomorrow. Oh well, we will be sending it out asap to get fixed but it wont be back before we leave Hawaii. Here are a couple we got yesterday though.

Lordy how am I going to live anywhere else?? Go from THIS to a LAKE? Ick.

Other than the the turtles, something even more special happened yesterday. Stephanie’s family of FOUR stopped by to pick up some photos that came in for them and so we could meet Princess K 🙂 She’s a lot smaller than she looked in the phone pic!
