Thismorning was lazy. We hung out in the yard for a while and just bummed around the house. At 1:30 we headed over to Century 21 and met miss Judy there to go over some stuff before driving over to the attorney’s office for the closing! That went off without a hitch but lordy if you can help it dont close on a house with out the main person there using a POA. I had to sign for Thomas then write “by megan wade as atty in fact” on about 1000 papers. My hand was sore. Earlier I had told Layla that if she was good and quiet during that we would stop on the way home for ice cream. Well, I had also called the vet and we had about an hour and a half before we could get bunker so we headed to Walmart (shocking, I know) to pick up ice cream and a couple other things. At home we ate our ‘scream’ with sprinkles then headed to the vet only to be told he has to wait until Monday now. I dont think so. I’ll give them another night but Im not paying to keep him there for a full week. We’ll check back tomorrow. Anyway, thats the exciting/cranky day we’ve had.
This is especially for our new friend Melissa. She told me how much she loves all the heirloom dresses and puffy bows the little girls around here are strapped into 😉
Now some more from thismorning. I just now realized that I had already posted some of our hangin out in the yard pictures. Days are long around here and tend to mush together. Sorry. Top is Layla’s photo, bottom is mine.
Now lets switch it up. Im on top, Layla’s on bottom.
Layla enjoying some birthday cake ice cream with extra sprinkles. As she was eating it she said “Mommy?? You’re the BEST.” then kept eat. I love her 🙂
And did yall know Paula Deen makes candles? I didnt. But for anyone that knows about my love of peppermint bark candy (Thanks a ton for that one Audrey) knows why I couldnt leave this baby at the store. Its peppermint scented and holy moly did it get me craving when I was burning it today. Yum.
Last but not least…to those of you past or present Enterprise citizens…what on earth is the building with the 2 big Elvis statues on the roof?? Its down the road from the library.

I forgot to say CONGRATS on closing on your house!
You are welcome for the peppermint bark lol. And if you can’t find the stuff to make it I’ll be sure to mail you some 🙂 I should be in KC for Christmas, so it won’t take that long to get to you!
Congrats on the house!
