Not So Pinteresting…

Geeze when was the last time I blogged? I had every intention of doing the Scavenger Hunt Sunday this week. It was a super long drawn out week and I felt like I had all the time in the world to do it. It’s Sunday. I have 1 picture. Dang it!

So instead of having a fun creative SHS post I have a post of Randoms. And of course I can’t remember to take step by step pictures of anything so I have 1 or 2 pictures of things I’ve done that have turned out decent.

First I made some Clean Eating Egg nog. In my attempt at eating better I wanted a good egg nog option. I found this recipe:

 

I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk in it. It turned out a little vanilla-y (I forgot the milk was flavored and Im too good to actually measure vanilla extract instead of just dumping what looks about right) but it’s not bad. And it didn’t thicken up a lot like the blog said. Still super yummy.

On Thursday I had Kassie over to play crafty with me. We were having a Pinterest day that turned into us eating half a box of spicy Ritz Bits and covering ourselves in Mod Podge.

We made these DIY photo canvases:

 

They are AWESOME. I want to make 50 more. I want to throw away every picture frame I have and glue all of my pictures to canvases. SO fun.

I used the last decent family picture we had from last year.

And I love the tiny paint splatter/brush marks on the picture

And then we looked around for anything else we could modpodge. And found the table. We got a little carried away.

Next, I love how I can find anything on Pinterest. I found this recipe on Facebook, or the blog…or somewhere. Not Pinterest. But it’s there just ready for me to link to 🙂

Chicken Pesto Bake.

I made this while T was home and didn’t have enough pesto sauce left over to use with pasta….it turned out dry and gross. This time I did it right and it was SO good. Sorry T missed out on it.

Ok, this one was a big ol FAIL. Maybe my settings were wrong or the 1 strand of lights on the tree wasnt enough…but I tried for a tree glow shot since the kids had me up before the sun today.

Stupid glowing tree. I decided to bust out the external flash that I don’t think I’ve used since last Christmas.

The cup is in place of the kids that both wouldn’t sit in the chair. See?

Finally Layla came in and sat for me…

And made a weird face.

Even Revo was no help. He didn’t know why we were up and moving and having to ‘SIT’ and ‘STAY’ so early.

And then the kids went to color. Or Layla did…Timmy likes throwing everything off of the table then clapping and saying “YAY!” like he did something great.

It’s 7:16am and I’ve already taken pics, blogged, and had a gallon of coffee. What else will I do today…Maybe I will get my Scavenger Hunt Sunday pictures. Or not…
