Everland

Um, hello. We went to Everland before Christmas and I never got around to posting about it. There were a million pictures and I felt overwhelmed with everything else…and then I just forgot. So…we went to Everland. And this is how it went:

Everland is a huge amusement park here in Korea. There are coasters and sledding and a zoo area and a drive through safari and so much more. And even better, we went during the Christmas season so there were lights, a Christmas parade, and a Korean Santa!

It was SO miserable cold and Timmy would. not. wear mittens. Oh well.

Layla ended up with a cool hat though to keep her warm.

It was so COLD. We tried to take shelter in a ball shooting building.

Very Fun Factory on steroids for those of you in AL.

It was cold in there too.

Next stop was Global Village. Korea’s It’s a Small World.

(Notice how we are looking for the inside attractions?? COLD.)

Creepy little dancing dolls. I’ve never actually been on the It’s a Small World ride. When we went to Disney in high school that area was under renovations. This was all new to me. There was some cheery Korean song on repeat that I can only imagine was a knock off of the Disney tune.

God Bless the USA. Broadway and Football.

There wasn’t a whole lot we wanted to do between scaredy kids and not wanting to wait in long cold lines.

But we kept ourselves entertained

After some more walking around and some lunch we made our way down to watch the parade

Timmy slept through most of it.

And Layla sipped hot cocoa

Aaand more fake foam snow like at Lotte World.

Once that was over we walked on to find a pony ride. L was SO excited.

They have camel rides too but there was no camel that day 🙁 Maybe because it was freeeezing?!

So we sat on a fake one.

At this point the boy was awake. Since he slept straight through lunch we needed to stop and find him some bites.

The next part was my favorite part of the day.

The drive through (well, bus through) safari. It really didn’t last that long but it was really neat to be so close.

Ugh ok, we went back in November (MOvember).

First we drove through lions.

And we drove through tigers.

There was even a liger

The kids loved it

Ooh and of course…we drove through bears! Oh my!

They were so big

And so awesome! They did tricks and danced for treats from the bus drivers.

SO big.

The last place we walked through was the monkey exhibit. Lots of different monkeys.

They were cold too.

Even though we were pretty crummy feeling in the cold and didn’t REALLY do much when there was SO much there to do I think we all had a blast at Everland. The second it warms up I am getting us season passes (good for one full year from when you buy it). I can see us going a lot more as kids get bigger and the weather is warmer. There is also a water park too that is right there with it. Probably not part of the season pass but still something I want to check out! Come ON spring!
