Landmark Park

Yesterday we headed out to Landmark Park in Dothan after I whined about how bored I was and didnt want to stay home. It cost $4 to get in for the adults and 3 and under are free. It was a pretty neat park…they have old buildings and exhibits along with a walking path that has animal displays along the way. STUFFED animals. Ick. And real snakes. There is also a big playground there. And a planetarium…but we missed the show so Im not sure how great it is. It’s a fun little park but I dont know if I want to pay for it again when we have the giant lake park right next to us with a bigger playground 😉

We were runnin from the rain clouds. It was supposed to be a little stormy but nothing ever happened thankfully! Im still not used to no mountains.
No mountains...

When we got in to Dothan I saw the courthouse and wanted to take a picture so of course Thomas starts tapping the breaks 😐

I got one though…

And then there was a truck pulling cows.

When we got to the park I started taking pictures of the buildings but didnt actually figure out what they are…School maybe? Store?

This is the church though I know that.

While in the snake cage section of the walking path I noticed these tiny little mice in all of the cages. ick ick ick!
Ew.

Layla was wondering about them

We tried to see if she wanted to swim in the water under the bridge…

She wasnt interested.

And then while walking we saw a snake NOT in a cage. My first wild snake experience ever. He was hangin out on some branches. It made me want to go back to Hawaii and he wasnt even buggin us.
T found a snake.

When we came out of the trail I got Billy Ray Cyrus stuck in my head for some reason…

There were some neat things at the playground

Layla didnt want to leave when we were done

After stopping at Starbucks we headed home and had a pretty sky to look at during our drive 🙂 After the sun was done blinding us that is.

  1. LOL to the Billy Ray Cyrus…only in the south! Pretty soon this will seem normal to you!
