Dinner With The Deans

Monday we used April’s new camera as an excuse to get together for dinner again before the baby comes. I was happy to go play cameras…even if it is a Canon 😉

It has been a rainy/thundery/no sun week or two here. I don’t even remember when it started. It feels like so long ago. Anyway, the sun poked out of the clouds for a bit on Monday…that is until we came around the corner into New Brockton. It was just a wall of black.

And it was taking over the blue

I liked how at their house you could look one way and see blue…

Then start to turn…

And it’s gone

Anywho, I always have a great time hanging out over there. April always has munchies out waiting for us.

And Preston is getting older and more into playing with Layla instead of just chucking cars at her head.

He also looks older with her new hair cut 🙂

After dinner we headed out front to play while it wasn’t raining and gave the kids otter pops.

They weren’t interested in the camera.

This is why…meet Cheese.

Their neighbor had a stray have some kittens in her car engine and now they feed them all. This one has wondered down to their house and Preston named her Cheese.

She is really really sweet. “Can we keep her mommy??”
Pres
How do you say NO to this face? 😉

Easy. At least if it’s your kid. See…

“NO.” I do it all the time. Now if Preston gave me those eyes and asked me I would give him 10 cats.

Sorry April.

Anyway, Cheese left and the kids kept playing on bikes and cars. Then Pres went down.

Like the boy he is, he didn’t care one bit. Layla wouldn’t have been able to walk for a week. (Sound familiar mom and dad? She surely didn’t get THAT from me.)

We were waiting for her to trip and roll down the driveway. It never happened. Thank goodness.

Thank you guys for having us over again. It’s always fun! Make sure to keep us updated so we can come celebrate with you in the hospital 😀

We had a great time as always! Believe me it is VERY easy to say “no” to that face from my end! Pete and I are cracking up about the throwing car thing…poor Layla…she’s a trooper though and gladly ducks!

    P.S. Yeah for Thomas!!!!!

  2. hahaha…I don’t think you can say no to any pouty little boy face. 🙂 I remember whenever we were together and I would say No to Cody he would start asking you. lol
