Crispy.

That’s how we all are after Saturday. I woke up in a funk that morning and was a Walmart trip away from speeding down to Pensacola to spend the night with Audrey and her family. By the time we were home and would have been ready to go it was already late morning. Still not bad if we would have stayed the night but I had lost all motivation to go. She’s JUST far enough to be too far to run down last minute but close enough to be tempting.

Anyway, not the point. Melissa ended up inviting us to head over to another friend’s house to swim with them. It was just what we needed. Until we all fried that is.

The pool was cold and I didn’t go in. Melissa did and she took Timmy. He wasn’t too thrilled with it either.

Layla was in the pool the whole time. Either on a raft or slung over a boogie board. Her back is toast.

Timmy spent a lot of time in my lap enjoying being there. That blurry person in the background is Amey. She’s having a baby boy in just a couple of weeks. She got a LOT of baby Timmy stuff.

Timmy ended up getting in the pool with his float when he realized it filled up and he could splash in it.

I didn’t see too much of Layla other than when I yelled at her so I could take a picture

When Timmy wasn’t in the water or in my lap he was running back and forth. Here he’s about to dig into their tiny baby growing plants. The more I told him no the more he smiled and tried to dig in.

Layla…back in the air…slow cooking

Amey brought out some watermelon for everyone. I stuck Tubbers in his float on the deck with a wedge and let him chow down. He didn’t get it.

Elizabeth came out of the pool for some watermelon and helped Timmy find the right side to bite from.

A random flower shot. I was sitting next to them and they were pretty

It was a fun day even though Layla and I are red and sore. We are very grateful for our AlleyBammy friends 🙂

  1. Love it! Your kiddos are way to funny and what a great way to spend a weekend (crispy or not). Love Timmy's mohawk!

  2. When you do make it down here I'm coating your kids in sunscreen. You can take care of yourself 😛
