Do you have a space?
A place you blog or craft or just lock yourself away for 10 minutes so the kids can’t find you until you realize your kid is the Hulk and can just hang on the door handle until it pops open and you are never actually alone?
Maybe I’m straying from my original point…

This is my space. We are lucky here to have an extra bedroom in our apartment. It quickly became our junk room. The place everything went when there was no other home for it. The room got ugly for a while…and still does if I don’t come in to use it regularly. It’s not a huge room and it’s kind of amazing how much I’ve crammed into it to make it work for multiple purposes. Hmm, ‘Multipurpose Room’ sounds more official than our ‘junk room’.
Ok, so I wont be featured on any organization sites but trust me…this is looking pretty good. My decor style is “How many pieces of furniture can I fit along one wall”
The answer this time is 3. We have our borrowed brown Army desk and chair where the computer/sewing machine/craft work is done. The black desk I picked up for maybe $10 – $20 on a flea market page. Perfect for all my vinyl stuffs. And storing random never go unpacked boxes underneath….
The bookshelf is also Army borrowed. Shelves on top, a drawer, and storage on the bottom. I can’t even tell you what all is on there. There is a shelf with fabric, a shelf for paint/more vinyl/Big Bang Theory wine glasses, the top shelf has everything else that I have no room for in the desks or anywhere else in the house. I know that much. The random crafting supplies are in the bottom storage.
This room really is like an I Spy picture. Can you find an egg carton, mini ironing board, and paper towels??

My main desk:
The sewing machine lives here. I never gets used :/ I will make that sewing machine cover though. I will. Promise. My white board blog calendar. I bought this thing…last year? I don’t even know. I just had to alcohol wipe March off of it so I could update and actually USE it. So far, 9 days later, I am.
I think my fave thing here is the window organization stuff I got at Daiso. Hung on bathroom suction cup hooks.
Also pictured: My tripod – trying to see how tall it was when on the desk. Too tall. ~ Pile of lunch box stuffs to be vinyled/labeled. ~ My phone & Cuboid pumpin out some Jango’s 90’s Best of the Best.

My Baby, er, Silhouette…
This is where my Silhouette Cameo lives. Sometimes I even use the dust cover I bought for it. Sometimes. That storage bag above it is the Keep It Caddy (I think) from Thirty One. I have this one and another on my bedroom dresser that holds makeup and other get ready for the day stuffs. I. love. them. I just wish that front pocket didn’t hang open so much.

Fabric and Vinyl:
It’s been a long while since I’ve made a trip to Happy Quilt. I have a problem with buying all the pretty fabric and then never actually doing anything with it. I just took a lot of it out of the plastic packaging because it kept sliding out onto the floor. Audrey says I should do a fabric haul…and I might. It might be the excuse I need to stock up on more fabric before we leave Korea.
I buy my vinyl in packs of 12×12 squares and am using a scrapbook paper organizer to hold it. It was all rainbowlogically sorted until I actually started using it and putting the pieces back on top of the pile…The bigger rolls are either iron on for tshirts or locally bought glittery goodness.

The Other Side:
The opposite side of the room is just as crowded. Treadmill, keyboard, giant chair that we took out of the living room to fit the Christmas tree and never put back, the printer, and some weights. And a giant tub of too small kids clothes to consign/donate.
Oh, and the boy and the cat. Because there is no alone time in this house.
hahaha I love it!! You are more organized than you think!! Much more than me!! 🙂
Roy G. Biv rainbowlogically. And I WISH I had a crafting space. Mine is just the kitchen table. And Richard keeps promising me shelves.
