Yesterday was Columbus day. The kids were both out of school and we wanted to do SOMETHING fun. Anything. It was also gym day and grocery shopping day. By the time we were home and Timmy woke up from his nap it was already 2pm. Anyone that knows me knows that I’m a hermit and don’t really like going out to start something after 3pm. I thought about Everland originally but by the time we got there, did stuff, and came home it would have been dark and that’s just a no go for me. Did I mention T wasn’t home either. Yay Army. So I got all fuddy duddy and we sat at home. Lame. Our grumpies turned around though when we packed up a picnic basket and headed to the roof for dinner. Not even fancy dinner. Sammiches, fruit, chex mix, and bubbles. They had a blast!
We stayed up there until the sun started setting. The kids were completely disgusting covered in dirt and bubbles but it was worth it. They also both slept great too. After bath time 😉
