NROL For Women…Giveaway!

Happy Saturday everyone 🙂

I was sitting here this morning kind of bored, not wanting to fold laundry, nothing really exciting to post on here…so why not have a giveaway??  I’ve been wanting to give away a copy of the New Rules of Lifting for Women for a while now. I love the book to pieces. So why not today?

New Rules of Lifting for Women

I originally bought this book when we lived in Alabama and was terrified to leave the elliptical at the gym. Weights scared me. Also, I’m not the person that can just say “I’m working legs today” and get it done. I NEED a plan. This book has a 6 month weight lifting program to follow that is split into 7 stages. It’s more than just workouts though…there is so much information. Learning truths and ditching the myths. Learning that women do have a place in the weight room and shouldn’t be afraid to lift heavy. There is also a nutrition section with a few recipes to try out.

Love love love.

My favorite part of this program is that it’s only 3 days a week in the gym. You can do cardio or classes on your off days but the main lifting is just 3 days a week of full body workouts. I tried out and really wanted to love the Jamie Eason Live Fit program. It’s an amazing program as well but eventually you’re there 6 days a week and I just can’t make that happen. NROL is more ‘real life’.

I restarted this program in June with my friend here. I had to take a break from it after my surgery and am super sad about it. I miss the heavy lifting! Since I can’t do all of the exercises in the book now, I thought I’d give someone else a chance to get started with it 🙂

My original stage 1 recap

If you want your own copy of this book you have plenty of ways to enter below or from the tab on the Girl Meets Camera Facebook page! The giveaway will be open all week and will close next Saturday. I will contact the winner and have the book sent off to you 🙂

  1. No way! I JUST started this program 2 weeks ago! I was terrified of lifting too because I had no idea what to do. This is simple and awesome.

I wasn’t able to buy the book, though, so I borrowed it from the library and photocopied pages… it would be nice to have a copy!

  2. Ooooh pick me!! I’ve been wanting this book for a while now. I’ve done the elliptical and a little treadmill, but I’m not really a gym person, but I’m getting to the point where just biking and hiking is not enough to avoid the dreaded muffin top. I originally heard of this from you, then my friend Mary used it too and you both have great bodies so I’m sold. 🙂
