Semi-Charmed Winter Book Challenge

Today is the first day (2nd if you’re on Korea time) of the Winter Book Challenge at Semi-Charmed Kind of Life

I tried her summer challenge and failed miserably.

I worked on compiling a list of books that I thought I would like to read that fit each category…

I even downloaded a sample of one on my Nook. That’s as far as I got though.

I’m trying again in the winter challenge. There will be a lot less going and more sitting inside staying warm so hopefully I’ll at least knock out a couple of these!

Here is my winter book list:

5 points: Read a book by an author you haven’t read before: What I Didn’t Say by Keary Taylor

5 points: A book you have at home but haven’t read yet: The Friday Night Knitting Club

10 points: A book written in the decade you were born: The Cider House Rules by John Irving

10 points: A book that takes place in your home state: Drowning Tucson by Aaron Michael Morales

15 points: The _____’s daughter/wife: The Pilot’s Wife or The Zookeeper’s Wife

15 points: Originally written in another language: The Girl Who Played with Fire by Stieg Larson (this was in another language first, yes?)

20 points: A book with a number in the title: Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan

20 points: A book set during Christmas or other winter holiday: The Bridge by Karen Kingsbury

20 points: Author with the same initials as me: She Flew The Coop by Michael Lee West

25 points: Pulitzer Prize winner or finalist: The Color Purple by Alice Walker

25 points: Re-read a book: The Hobbit

30 points: 3 books from 3 different genres: Wild by Cheryl Strayed, Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks, Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

Now…to get to the library!
